Thanks Travis! Yeah I'm in the same boat with you, I liked the stickers, but I'm enjoying the clean look without them.

Well, my accountabilibuddy, JHC, has let me slip. I put a deposit down on some SSR's yesterday through Evasive Motorsports. 4-5 month eta, so hopefully they'll be here by the end of the year.

I was going to get my dash and doors done with Dark Dog at the end of the summer, and then shoot for the wheels at the beginning 2017, but the finish I really wanted for the wheels is being discontinued at the end of the month, so those plans pretty much flip-flopped.

I've also been toying with the idea of repainting my door handles Silverstone, and then getting my fender emblems and front reflectors shaved for a really clean body look. So that's on the list now too.

Thanks Stogey!

There's a "shaved" thread (expected something totally different the 1st time I looked in it...zing!), that I scroll through ever now and then; and the more I look through it, the more I like the idea.

Best example I can find of the shaved reflectors, and I absolutely love this car...

Sorry to let you down, br0! Prolly worked better if we got past step 3/12 which says,
"I realize I am powerless to stop my attempts to refine the perfect Z." and yours is one the finest!

I love the direction you're going, it will be amazing. Do you have a pic of the SSR finish and style you chose?

My self control = 0, at least I know there's help out there.

It's their Super Black Coat, which is pretty much a sexy black/smoked chrome finish. I'm keeping the color combination on the DL, but I'll shoot you a PM. I haven't seen anyone with the combination yet, so fingers crossed it says fairly rare.

Dude, Jimmy's Z is one of my all time favorites. He had the fitment dialed on that thing.

Couldn't agree more! His, to me, is the definition of fat and aggressive, hands down.

I kind of wish he had gone meatier with the tires. They're stretched just a bit, but it still looks so aggressive and meaty somehow haha. But I totally agree.

I saw in the fat/aggressive thread that he was going to switch to 265/35 for the fronts, but I know he's since sold his Z.

When the SSR's get in, I'm switching back to fatter tires.
Fronts: 255/35 on 9.5 +12
Rears: 285/35 on 10.5 +10

With as low as I am, I don't think I could really go any fatter without either more camber, or a 30 sidewall.

What are your current alignment specs?

I'm actually really low (at least I think I'm low), and I'm running 265/35 on a 9.5 et12 and -2 degrees of camber. It doesn't rub anymore, but I had a slight rub whenever I hit a big bump, but I think rubbing a few times fixed itself.

I have the slightest looking pull near the top of the fender well, so I believe that is what has fixed it.

Hmmm I think I'm -1.6 & -1.8, front and rear, although those could be flipped, but everything is within OEM spec right now.

I've got a little bit more than a finger gap with 245/35 +11 & 275/35 +11, but I am running 19's. The 265/35 matches up better with the 285/35, rotationally speaking, right?

I really don't mind more camber, but I would think the 265/35 19 +12 would require a good bit, but I could always raise the front I guess...
