This season should be a ratings powerhouse. Plus, it gives Kimbo a second chance to prove himself. Should be a doozy of a season.

TUF Takes ‘Slice’
“Kimbo Slice” will be among the 16 heavyweight fighters to join the 10th season of “The Ultimate Fighter,” which starts shooting this week in Las Vegas.
"He just really wants to fight right now," Slice's manager, Mike Imber, told Sherdog.com.
UFC President Dana White confirmed the news with Yahoo Sports on Monday.
Slice, whose real name is Kevin Ferguson, was released from the Pro Elite organization on May 13, according to a recent SEC filing.
The 34-year-old father of six also opted to pass on a potential multi-fight deal with Strikeforce, which had obtained an option to purchase the bearded Internet phenomenon’s contract from Pro Elite last February.
Ferguson’s management told Sherdog.com that the promotion was offering less than the fighter’s Pro Elite contract had stipulated (Slice was paid $175,000 and $500,000 for two of his last three bouts), though both parties split on amicable terms.
This cleared the way for negotiations with Zuffa, which owns the UFC, to cash in on one of the sport’s fastest rising stars ever.
Though TUF hopefuls sign undisclosed contracts and make a reported $5,000 per each fight they finish (submission or stoppage) on the series, there is little doubt Ferguson won’t be afforded a different deal on the show. Slice is, by far, the highest-profiled candidate to ever make the show that prides itself on harvesting undiscovered talent.
Ferguson, who earned fame from the brutal backyard beatdowns he dished out over the Internet, fought three times for Pro Elite under its EliteXC banner. Two of those bouts were main-event attractions featured on CBS and are the No. 1 and No. 3 most-watched fights in U.S. history, topping off at 7.3 million viewers.
Last June, Slice (3-1) became the second mixed martial artist to make the cover of ESPN the Magazine after UFC superstar Chuck Liddell.
UFC President Dana White has been critical of Ferguson’s unmatched notoriety, as well as his lack of fighting ability.
“It should be interesting, given some of the things I’ve said about him,” White told Yahoo Sports Monday.
The move also squashes rumors that Slice was set to embark on a career in professional boxing. Gary Shaw, who promoted Ferguson under the EliteXC banner, was among those that made overtures for the slugger’s services in the squared circle.
Slice will have much to prove. He rebounds off a 14-second loss last October at the hands of Seth Petruzelli, a light heavyweight who was pulled up from the undercard after Ken Shamrock was deemed medically ineligible to fight that same day.
This up and coming season is full of win. I hate Bisping so much i just can't wait for this season to be over Plus all the scrubs on the show don't make it very exciting as far as the fights go... i hope Dan beats the fishand chips out of Bingbing so we can get onto the black on black crime as page would say!

DITTO!!! and damn it, if you are speaking english. we shouldnt need fcuking sub titles to understand what youre saying. bisping might as well be speaking japenese.
the only sad part about this upcoming fight. is that if henderson wins, itll be by submission or decision. but i doubt we will get to see bispings ugly face re-arranged.
Talks so much chit one minute, then signs the guy the next.
If there is one spot Kimbo deserves to be in, it's TUF. Maybe we'll see how he stacks up against guys at his own talent level.
when did kimbo get singed?? to my knowledge he is only going to be on TUF. which is a big difference.
then ufc is about making money, but they also pride themselves in making top notch fights. but if a guy with virtually no fighting skills, like brock lesnar, is allowed to fight in the ufc. then i see no reason why kimbo shouldnt be given a chance to at least prove himself on the show.
yes, this is a bit hypocrytical on danas part. but he is a business man, what do you expect?? kimbo has dollar signs all over him.

Why do you think he's hypocritical? He talked the $hit, said he'd make an offer, he made an offer, Kimbo accepted it, and Dana hasn't taken back any of the $hit. There are plenty of other things Dana's done that I think make him a douche (like anything having to do with the object of his man love, Brock Lesnar), but this isn't one of them in my eyes.
Remember, at the time Dana made his comments, Kimbo was fighting for EliteXC. It's good business for him to point out how EliteXC's top draw isn't a very good fighter. It's even better business if that guy is working for him now. I'm not saying Kimbo will ever fight in the UFC, or win TUF, but I think Dana's doing a great job marketing the UFC and getting more eyes on his product. Simple morbid curiosity will increase TUF's ratings, as well as the die-hard MMA fans who want to see Kimbo fail miserably, which is a good thing for UFC.
Referencing Dana's doucheness, though, I could see him stacking the heavyweights with a bunch of other slackers so Kimbo at least has a chance - the longer Kimbo sticks around on TUF, the better it's ratings will be, regardless of whether or not Kimbo puts on good fights.

I'm not saying it's not good business sense to do it, because it is, but it is hypocritical.
How do you go from "He sucks", "he's going to get hurt (in the UFC)", and "he's barely an athlete" to "I gotta respect that he's coming on the show" and "he looks serious"?
He's putting a guy, who by his own words is "not a fighter", on his own show called "The Ultimate Fighter"...
That's like saying: You suck as a cook. You barely qualify to be a waiter. Want to try your hand on my show The Iron Chef?
Gotta give props to Kimbo for trying though. I'm sure he has a fat check if the ratings are up.

What dont you understand, dana always said he wasnt a real mixed martial artist and if he wanted to prove he was, he had an open invite to TUF. Dana actually lived up to what he said.
Im sure dana never expected kimbo to come on tuf and thats why hes giving him some respect now.
I know TUF's talent level lately has been pretty low lately, but I always thought the show's premise was for MMA fighters to try to 'win' a spot in the UFC roster in competition. Sure they had untested guys like Corey Hill and some 1-0 or 1-3-2 guys but for the most part it was still supposed to be for fighters.
Dana White always said he wasn't a fighter. That he doesn't consider him an athlete if I'm not mistaken. By taking Kimbo, isn't he acknowledging that he is a fighter/athlete worthy at a shot on his roster?
Or is TUF just supposed to be BUMFIGHTS with rules?

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!! Brock Lesnar has amazing wrestling skills and im not talking about WWE. Brock Lesnar wrestled his whole life all the way up to college and he was a beast at it too. In my book wrestling is a fighting skill. Most amazing fighters have a great wrestling back ground!
