i gotta say mir, cause she is a much better all around fighter

if lesnar can come out w/ the fury he did in their first fight and is able to avoid mir's BJJ he will have a good chance

It'll be a great fight, I'm hoping for Mir but I don't want to say. A lot of people feel for some reason that Brock Lesnar is not an authentic fighter, that's ridiculous, the man was an NCAA college wrestling champion which is an incredible accomplishment and more than qualifies his ability to a large degree (although it does not make a complete fighter).

Mir, on the other hand, is one of my favorite fighters- the man is a living encyclopedia of moves and techniques, he's very savvy in the ring, and adapts very quickly to the guy he's fighting. People say he lacks power but not from what I've seen, but then again, I don't know that anybody's expecting him to go toe-to-toe in standup against Lesnar, it just would not be a smart move on his part.

If the fight makes it to the final round I'm giving it to Mir, Lesnar might catch him but I doubt it.

I'm thinking Brock will be more practiced in his submission defense and more patient overall. Brock via TKO in R3.

Of course, anything can happen...

going to be a very interesting fight. I want lesnar to win because i feel he is still the underdog. Mir is very talented. I dont know i want lesnar to win but i might give this to mir again only assuming lesnar might get careless again.

When is this scheduled for btw?

+1. That was probably one of the worst calls/saves I've seen from a UFC referee.

Lesnar is a completely different breed of athlete... Mir lucked out the first fight and caught Lesnar... mistake by a very inexperienced fighter... the way Lesnar handled Couture, the punch that dropped him was more of a glancing blow off the top of Couture's neck and was mostly arm. Once Lesnar really truly learns how to turn his hips into a punch and generate his lower body power... he is gonna kill someone...

Everyone seems to forget how bad Lesnar was pummeling Mir before he made his mistake... I believe he is going to beat Mir's head into the mat.

damn 50/50, its just like that little text vote thing they do on the pay per views where it starts out lopsided and then right as the fight is about to happen it goes right to 50/50

Realistically, Mir could take it again, BUT Brock has had more than 1 fight now AND is current champ.

I vote Brock.

I'm going with Lesnar from a sheer size/strength standpoint. Mir looked good against Nog, but he's going to have to go with a different strategy against Lesnar.

As we know, this one could easily go either way. I predict Mir will win in the same fashion as before, although I would love to see mir stay standing and work lesnar over the same way he did nog. The 5 minutes of training lesnar has had is not going to prepare him for all the different ways he can get submitted by MIR on the ground, where it will likely end up.

Hopefully Mir will get HIS belt back, and all will be well in the world.

Both guys are great at talking trash to one another and both guys sound a bit over confident. It's been really entertaining watching all their comments.

Pick -
I think Mir is still riding the wave from beating Nog and he has let it go to his head.

I'd actually like to see Mir win but i think he is underestimating Brock and it will cost him. Gotta pick Brock

< still thinking about ordering the fight tonight.

Mir could easily have won over all the fans because Lesnar plays the Heel so well but Mir has been such a d-bag in all the interviews he has rubbed people the wrong way. I will admit Mir was ripped at the weigh in but so was Lesnar...

I hope Mir does try to stand with Lesnar... and show everyone this amazing stand up game that took out a not all there Nog... and when Lesnar puts one of his lunchbox hands on Mir's head... it will be just like with Couture...

I guess I don't care too much about the prefight hoorah... it's part of the $ game.

I doubt brock would win a standup contest against mir. Brock has no head movement, no footwork. All he's got going in his standup is his reach and power. Look at the clinic mir put on nog... You won't see lesnar put on a standup show like that ever.

Why do you think Brock bum rushes and smothers everyone? because that's all he has going for him... his size, strength and his wrestling ability. Get them to the floor (easy for him to do) and hammer fist all day long. He goes with his strengths and it works for the most part. How could it not?

Frank mir has habitually showed up to his fights out of shape, and unfortunately for brock, mir looks to be in extremely good shape for this fight. Brock is most likely going to do what he always does and take it to the floor, where he is going to get submitted (again). If he learned from the last fight that he doesn't want to be on the mat with mir and keep it standing.... he's going to get his chin tested unless he connects early.

I hope mir does to lesnar what he did to tim silvia... don't give him a chance to tap... snap whatever he grabs. Put a nice delay in his new found career, I'm tired of hearing about the roided out meat head already. I don't like his physique or his style.

The longer this fight goes, the better chance Mir has to win.

Of course whoever wins is going to proclaim to be the champion of the WORLD, unfortunately neither fighter is Fedor.
