"The Pitbull" has found a new home.

Ending months of silence, former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (Pictures) speaks to Sherdog.com news editor Loretta Hunt in this exclusive video interview to announce his signing with the Affliction promotion for three fights, beginning with a July 19 bout against former IFL standout Ben Rothwell (Pictures).

The Belarusian striker also discusses his departure from the UFC after eight memorable years and eyes the heavyweight picture outside the Octagon's walls.

Not sure if you know this, but Tim Sylvia is fighting Fedor next.

I predicted this move to Affliction.....

Sylvia/Fedor and Rothwell/Arlovski is enough to make me want to see the entire card.

Yeah I know. I was thinking next.

I would have watch the whole card for just Sylvia/Fedor but the rest of the card is solid as well. It could wind up being in the top cards for the year.

Babalu Vs. Mike Whitehead

Pedro Rizzo Vs. Josh Barnett

Alexander Emelienenko vs. TBA

Good call on the prediction. I was hoping he stayed with the UFC at first but on second thought the UFC's HW division is lacking and there are probably better match ups for him outside the UFC.

Yeah Stu.

I was referring to a discussion we had in a different thread, when some thought he would stay in the UFC after his last fight that was on the undercard.

I'm glad he signed with Affliction, I'd love to see him fight Fedor or Randy. Maybe we'll see the 4th rematch with Sylvia, it would be great to see him knock Frankenstein out
