Rampage / Shogun II or Rampage / Wanderlei III?

Which would you rather have in the next 3-5 months?

My vote goes to Rampage / Wandy III as I think Shogun's injury and layoff is too much to overcome an angry Rampage who just lost his belt. Shogun needs someone like Jardine, Evans or something before he faces Liddell, Rampage, etc.

I think Shoguns injury during the Forrest fight and his lack of training for it showed. I don't think he would make that mistake again. Shogun is a monster and I don't think he would have trouble manhandling Rampage again if he was 100% and well prepared for the fight.

I personally don't care who he fights. Either one of them will destroy Rampage if properly prepared for the fight. I personally want to see Shogun rematch Forrest or fight Liddell.

They are saying AS is unbeatable.

I think Rampage vs Shogun/Wandy is a much closer fight than people think. The first fight was a GP fight, with Rampage traveling the tougher road than Wandy. Second fight was pretty close before he ate a supersized Wanderlei Knee special.

With Shogun, well, he got his ribs broke. But then again, he was getting his @ss kicked before that too. I just think he has better defense for the Chute-box balls out style than he did before. This is not the same Rampage who couldn't find a way out of 30 knees from Wanderlei.

Don't underestimate ring rust though. While Shogun did have a bit of a layoff from the Coleman fight before killing people again; this is a Shogun two injuries and 1 year a way from a lackluster fight (which he also came in w/ an injury I believe).

And, AS is not unbeatable. I'd even go as far to say that Okami has the best chance to beat him as anyone else he'll face, both @ 185 and 205. Counter puncher, with very good wrestling, clinch game & cardio. If he can avoid the landmines for 5 rounds, he could win on points.

That being said, Okami will probably get KTFO.

I don't think A.S. deserves a title in LHW yet. He hasn't fought anyone in that weightclass or proven himself to be effective there yet. And Irvin is not deserving of a title shot yet either IMHO.

I think we may see Wandy and AS at some point. I think that Dana wants to see that fight, and that's what matters lol

It won't happen. Wandy wrote into his contract when he came to UFC that he won't fight AS or Shogun because they all train together and are close friends. Dana may want it and AS might even go for it, but Wandy won't do it.

i mean if wandy comes out there and grabs him by the throat and rapes him like he did jardine then sure. yeah he can easily be caught too by those heavy hitters like chuck and rampage. shogun i dunno just based on his last fight. but im saying until i see different my money is on AS. the dude is just solid standup and ground. watch as soon as i say that **** damn irvin will pull a houston alexander on his ass, that why i love UFC just when you think you know you dont. hell i would have bet my mamma rampage would have won last week and guess what?

I'd pick AS. He left CB to form his own team with Pele. They were the top strikers when they were with CB.

if i had to pick one to beat him id say wanderlei even though he got beat by chuck.

i read dana was saying AS walks around at like 215 anyway so he would still have to cut so its not like him being out of his element at that weight. i mean 205 is UFCs most entertaing class i think and AS coming in just add some cool match ups
