Olympic boxing!!!!

...is retarded.

Yeah they're such great athletes, blah blah blah. It's like watching two old people ****. All they do is bounce around like they're really going to do something and then stand there and hug each other.

I guess I've been watching too much MMA.....

edit....

ok so.... after watching some more it got a little better. I just watched two completely turd matches back to back. It was hard to believe I was watching the olympics.

I think it's interesting, i've been keepin up with it daily. The US team is the weakest everr though! Only two US fighters left. One of them looks really promising though.

Am I the only one that watch Olympic boxing here? lol

I think if the Olympic allows pro boxers to compete instead of just amateurs, it would be more entertaining!

Just image Kelly Pavlik destroying & picking off boxers in every country, that be interesting.

I dunno, I wasn't too impressed, but it was kinda fun watching that Russian beat up a Frog on Saturday.

I saw a little bit in the beginning, and its just ok. I think we've been spoiled with MMA to really appreciate boxing.

Everyone used to say the same thing about MMA when BJJ dominated. "All they're doing is hugging.", "It's so boring", "Nothing happens". Once you learn what you're watching, you appreciate the sport. I've been watching boxing since the 80s and watched UFC 1 on PPV. I still enjoy watching boxing.

Agreed. I'm an amateur boxer and a bigg boxing fan. That's one of the main reason why i enjoy watchin the olympic boxing. I can appreciate it. I like to watch MMA occasionally when it's on, but (ignore my ignorance) that's what i see, alot of ground work "hugging"/"boring." I guess I just don't appreciate as many of you do cause i don't understand the sport well enough

I agree olympic boxing fortheFails.

you rarely see anyone get dazed let alone get knocked down. A paw here, a jab there, a hug here, another paw...

I always wondered about that too.

Like why they allow "PRO" NBA players to play in the Olympic Basketball team rather then using "Amateur" College players like in boxing? Weird.
