I hate cutting weight!!

Well i just got a call 2 nights ago now. to fight on the 26th. which meant i had 9 days to cut 17 pounds for weigh ins. i started at 172pounds. and ill be fighting at 155.

i cut all my meals in half. then ive been going to this steep hill in town. and i jog down it, and run up it. ive only managed 6 rounds of the hill so far. im shooting for 10.

then i go straight to the gym. and then ill get a nap for a few hours. and its training at night.

im down to 166pounds now. so im shooting for 160. then i can sweat out the other 5 pounds in the sauna on wednesday night. i cant wait to get in the ring, and get this over with.

the event is MFC(maximum fighting championship)18. in edmonton, alberta. its become a pretty big event. they are brodcast on HDfights. but my fight will be an undercard, so no air time. but if i get the W. this gets my foot in the door with them. so ill get some better fights, and be fighting on the main card before long. im going to thailand in october for some training. so hopefully ill be fighting again in november.

anyway, ill make sure i come back and put up some pictures, and any video footage i get from the fight. that is, if i dont get completely lol

best of luck to you...

I got some questions for you. How do you lose weight/make your body more tone, in quick period of time in a HEALTHY way?

I used to be 210 and now i am 175, I went down to 160 but now I want to loose a bit more, any tips? I been really lazy these days

good luck on your training and I hope you kill the other opponent.

different things work for different people. i know my body type. and basically, i have just been doing tons of high intensity cardio. my hill run is killer. and my weight training has stepped up intensity. i dont really take breaks between sets anymore. just enough to grab a drink of water. then training at night. i sweat like a wild boar.

but diet is huge. i usually eat clean. but i normally eat alot, to maintain my muscle size. so now i eat a regular breakfast still. but my 3 other meals of chicken and rice, have each been cut in half.

i just got back from the gym right now. and im down again. 165.5 if this keeps up, weigh ins will be a cinch.

probably not gonna use my real last name. since its too crazy for anyone to pronounce. so im probably going to go with Victor Versfeld.

Sounds like you will be down to weight in no time man! Hill runs are the best when combined with a great diet. Best of luck with the fight, post more info up when you get it

well i have some new news. but not good news. what happened was, this guy wanted to fight. and the promoter was willing to put him in as an extra fight, if they could find someone last minute to fight him.

they called me, and i took the fight no questions asked. so i go and cut 8 pounds of weight. and now all of a sudden the guy decides he isnt going to fight.

so im a little dissapointed to say the least. i know that people drop fights all the time. but this guy was ready to go, and wanting to fight. its pretty lame to drop a fight 5 days out. when they just found you someone to fight 5 days earlier.

so, sorry to anyone that was excited to see the outcome of this. i will definitely be fighting in early december or so. once i am back from thailand. but i wont bother making any threads till after the fight.
