I have a 2008 Kawasaki Concours. I wear a cortech leather jack with padding throughout. I wear leather riding gloves, full face helmet, leather motorcycle boots. Normal jeans is what i wear. I am tired of taking the gamble and want some propper pants that wont just rub off on the pave ment in less then 1 second. Alot of my riding is stuff around town, some highway, and maybe once or twice a month a 200-300 mile trip. I like the look of some of these pants like Icon Huligans. They look almost like regular jeans. I see good reviews on them. Here is my problem. almost every one that makes and sells these pants only make the inseam one size, 34! I am a 29 inseam. What the heck can I do. I hate trying to get pants altered and with moto pants Im betting it is not as simple as just normal old jeans to alter. Any shorties out there have any help? Would long jeans work since I will be on the bike mostly anyways and they will ride up while in the riding position? Also what site would you suggest? Motorcycle superstore?

I have two pairs of the icon pants- no CE armor, only double denim with the mesh for breathing at the inner thigh and knee. One of them is 34, which I wear, the other is 30, which I don't.
I'll take a look at it and see what the actual type is. I go to kneedraggers for my gear. I'll also look at ebay (only buy new). Don't ever buy retail if you can help it. |

I have the tourmaster venture overpants which allow you to wear them over shorts or other pants - you can just take them off when you get where you are going. They have CE rated knee armor and provide a lot more protection than jeans. I also have a leather suit for the best protection. You really can't beat the following two sites for great deals on gear IMO:
http://www.newenough.com/ http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/ I was recently looking at the following set of leather pants if you go that route: http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/l...cle_pants.html

I don't know about inseam or what not, but check out the alpinestars black label cargo pants. I have it, and it doesn't look gh3y yet it still provides more protection then jeans. It has knee pads built in too.

Joe Rocket Ballistic pants, I've had a pair for a few years, great pair, I'll buy another this year most likely. Awesome for cold weather riding, a tad warm in the summer but they have zips on the side. If I remember correctly they actually make a "short" pair as well.
