I have had to put the bike down gently once cause some ****er decided it would be cool to slam on the brakes for no damn good reason. The other time it was me pushing the tires i had on the bike way to far. I had some crap tires that the previous owner had on there. Not much damage, but it was a learning experience.

4 street crashes , without major injury. Countless crashes while racing, 3 broken collar bones, 4 ribs , 5 seperated shoulders, can't count the concussions, and one collapsed lung.

Been riding for years and been down once on a bike, once on a scoot. My bike crash wasn't my fault.....leaned over driving normal speeds on a backroad around a corner and came across a pothole the size of my coffee table......I tried to ride it out because if I tried to stand on the pegs and straighten up I would have gone into oncoming traffic. I don't remember what happened after that.....I woke up in a ditch on the side of the road with my bike 20 feet away still laying the road.......the pothole was so deep my bike basically stopped in it and threw me flying. Landed on my face, broke my neck and shoulder.......but the rib contusions were BY FAR the worst pain I ever had in my life......took about 6 months for them to fully yeah....my whole side was black and blue for months. Totaled my ninja too which pissed me off.....I loved that bike.

My scoot was just stupid......I made a decision to get rid of my car and just have bikes for a spell years ago....I had 3 bikes.....a scoot, a sportbike, and a dirtbike. I typically rode the scoot on bad weather days. We don't really get winters here in NC but we get "black ice" where the rain or sleet will freeze overnight......I tried to ride my scoot to work in the the slush and black ice.......it was slicker than you can possibly imagine......I was riding probably 15mph with both feet on the ground barely staying upright. I got to the end of my street and very gingerly started applying the front brake WAY ahead of time....it was no use......it went down instantly as if I slammed on the brakes......all I did was slide for about 20 yards.....neither me or the scoot got hurt at all.......I was just soaking wet with frozen black slush all over me........it sucked.....I went home to change and bummed a ride to work with my neighbor......and begrudgingly bought a cage again a month later after over 2 years of cage free bliss...

I like a top, doors, a hood & a trunk--even if small--between me & the other
vehicles, & the pavement. When it's your day, it's your day, but why increase
the likelihood of spending the rest of my life in a traction apparatus or die pre-
maturely?! I get T-H-R-I-L-L-S in my Zed, too!!!

I may get a vespa or something just to save gas between my home and work. 5 bucks a gallon FTMFL. I was thinking about getting a CBR or kawasaki earlier, but I want to live past the age of 25. My brother is currently riding a gsxr1000, which was acctually his first bike.

Once, not my fault.

Had just entered an intersection when a guy coming from the other direction decides to pull a u-turn. I was doing ~40mph and had nowhere to go. Ended up high siding it passing over his hood, the bike hit his truck and went for a wicked ride. I lost count of how many times I saw the pavement and sky change places. Walked away with a sore shoulder and a tiny scrape on my finger thanks to my gear. His insurance company ended up buying that bike from me.

Cars are slow and boring.......and 20x more people die in them every day than on bikes.
