He's made some incredibly shytty mistakes on that new bike, but I guarantee you, if he doesn't kill himself on that massive motogp machine, he'll be a world champ in a couple years. Being under Rossi's wing and some patience will make Lorenzo an awesome rider.

Can't argue that, but the exact same was said about Tamada and Melandri.

WTF happened to Melandri? He's always at the bottom these days. I remember that wreck a couple years ago where I believe had to airlift him out, he faceplanted the asphalt, thought he was cashed.

I think when he lost the Honda B team ride, he jumped at the chance to possibly be the Italian hero on the Ducati B bike.

If i had to guess id say poor management/deals. I remember when you would still see Norick Abe's name pop up on a Yamaha. I think in his career he finished 3rd 2 times on a 500cc back in the 90's.
