anybody ever try a set of those race replica fairing sets from ebay? i think they're made in china? don't know how well they fit/look or how good the quality is..
What perfect fit, OEM is the way to go. However, some reviews of after market plastics have been good, so you really need to find out. A. who made them and B read up on that person.
Just a word of advice, if I were looking at your bike on the used market and noticed it did not have OEM plastics, unless your price was priced for a wrecked bike, I'd walk away and never look back.
Bikes with "custom" paint, or "custom" plastics are all off my list of bikes I'd ever buy, UNLESS its being sold as a wrecked bike.
in other words, its a instant resale value killer.
For people who just want a change, keep all of your OEM plastics wrapped up and in great shape, if you sell the bike let the buyer know you do have all the plastics in great condition, you only changed them for a new look. Lots of people sell off the OEM plastics because they demand a high price on ebay. Again, resale value killer.
