its a triumph power plant which is already in a very well proven body.

Triples are a hell of a lot of fun though, the more the better

I've heard very few problems with the triples that triumph's use and I've spent a decent amount of time on their message boards.

No, issues here

Sure the first ones had some issues, but so do r6's, GSXR's and CBR's. It was a completely new power plant of course there are a few little things.

I almost bought one. I spent one day reading the maintenance forum on the Triumph site and it scared me away....

Overall Jap bikes kill the reliability of that triple. CCT issues, people dropping valves, oil consumption, even a few cases of new motors failing within 1000 miles that the dealer took back! No thanks...
