Dude thats kind of harsh, he has over 35000 miles of seat time. Riders know sometimes "sh1t happens" Just ironic he wasnt even on the bike and had an "accident." I feel bad for the guy but cleaning a moving chain with a rag is a pretty bad move. As far as servicing my bike, Ill let the pros do it. I feel its too sensitive of a machine to even make the smallest error.
Saw this on the forums. Still cant believe that **** happens. I dunno why anyone would clean a chain while its being moved by the motor. Such a horrible lesson to learn man.
i just got done tighten my chain on my mongoose bicycle, then my friend called. so i head to his house. halfway there i stuck my index finger and thumb to see if the chain is tight. little did i know i was still rolling down hill so the chain snap the tip of my index finger clean off.
now im missing half an inch of index finger and my nails grow downward.
lesson learned
