Lost my key

Well somehow my key has disappeared from my garage to my living room...my only key! No spare, yes it was dumb of me. I have an sv.

What can I do? Should I go to a dealer? Call a locksmith? Money isnt really an issue, but I'd rather not just switch out all the key assemblies.

My regular key will turn up eventually as I lost it here at home, but Im going to still need spares and the weather has been great and I want to ride!

do you have the little tag that came with the bike? i dont know if the SV has the chipped keys, if it does your talking serious cash

It just looks like a regular cheap key to me. I didnt get the lil silver thing with the key code, but I hear it would be on the ignition or the other locks. Would I be able to use my vin #?

just have a key made from a lock smith.

Take a locksmith the gas tank lid and have a key made. Cheaper and easier than having one come to you or dealing with ignition.

you might be able to use your vin i would call the dealer and ask, otherwise i would go with what alberto said

Found the key! Crisis averted! It was a total of 5 feet away from my bike in an area I looked over 3 different times....

Will make 5 spares tomorrow!
