Rear tower brace
Does anyone have any pictures of the rear tower brace naked, i.e. with the plastic covers removed? I'm planning on installing racing harnesses and wanted to see whether the brace would be a suitable mounting point for the belts.
If you've taken the plastic off, how hard was it? Any tips, hints, or tricks to pass along?
Thanks.

Thanks for the pictures. Being all black, it's a little hard to tell what we're looking at. Is there a hard beam under the bent sheet metal to which you could mount a harness?
If you get a 4-point (i.e. no anti-sub between the legs) you would still slide down in a roll.
But tell us more about AutoPower's roll bar. Have they set a price? If not, what are comparable bars going for? Can you install them yourself?
Thanks.

well you also cant go side to side in event of a side crash. the rule generally is that you do not put a 4 or 5 point belt without a roll cage. and to go farther, roll cages are not a real good idea without a helmet. you could hit your head on it in a crash, and adios.
unless your car is doing 12second quarters, then the roll cage isnt required and a 4 and 5 pt isnt needed, nor the helmet. for a stock car, I would stick with stock seat belts.
