Just picked up my z from AAM. The owner ran a 12.8 last weekend, with lots of wheels spin. Mid low 12's are possible.

Sure it could, with a significant weight reduction, a lot of NA work, and slicks.

i was like a nissan sentra or something wasn't it?

they stripped it down all the way to the frame. all that was left was frame, engine, wheels, seat and driver. pretty crazy.

it made it though.

i thought people were running high 13's stock (13.6, 13.7, etc.)...that's why i'm confused...i'm thinking maybe w/ intake plenum, exhaust, cai, headers, pulleys, cams, and some drag radials, the Z might break 12's....i was planning on going the FI route, but i'm afraid of all the maintenence that's gonna be involved in the long run....i heard stuff goes wrong all the time....i'm not the greatest mechanic (barely know anything about FI)...

intake plenum, exhaust, cai, headers, pulleys, cams, and some drag radials, Mini Me behind the wheel and a 95 MPH tail wind.

Seriously, I think the only way to get into the 12's N/A is to drastically lighten the car. It's amazing how much weight kills acceleration.

AAM as in Altered Atmosphere, and Mike as in Mike Mahaffey? What do these PC'd Z's put down?
