Default spring rates on JIC

what spring rates are u guys running on your flt-a2??
f10/ r 10 is shown on the jic site but there is an option of running f10 / r 12 rite?
which is better? i heard the rear 12 will take away the understeer

i'm still deciding on JIC or HIPERMAX II
HIPERMAX II is not avail yet in the states so most ppl chose JIC
but i wanna know which one is better on track

JIC offers two different setups for the FLT-A2. Both share the same front spring, but have different dampers. The linear setup uses a 10kg/mm F spring and a 12kg/mm R spring, and the progressive setup uses a 10kg/mm F spring and a progressive 10kg/mm R spring. Having driven on both (don't ask about my hellacious experience with this, I was the one who discovered there were two setups before anyone knew two different setups existed), the progressive is a much better street suspension, and the linear is only for somebody who plans on tracking the car often. Hope this helps...

Well, JIC really has a hard time getting their act together. Moral of the story is DO NOT TRUST THEIR WEBSITE! I learned the hard way. I suggest that you call JIC or a vendor and ask, as I know they will do custom setups.

I went with the Progressive setup and love it......I'm a daily driving with weekend track aspirations monkey so I thought it would be the smarter way to go.

Call Paul at Avalon Racing and discuss it with him a bit, they race the suspension and can help you out a great deal......not to mention make you a great deal on it.

First of all the progressive sets were originally designed for the G35 initially. Grey market sets are not covered from a warranty perspective. Only sets sold by dealers indentified in the JIC-america site are covered. The specs on that site are correct. We knew about them for a long time and only started to sell them when ready.

Here are the specs:

Non Progressive : 10K front - 12k rear
Progressive : 10K front - 10K rear

What is also different is that the progressive rears are valved a little different to aid in the softer ride.

We have install a ton of both with great results. We also have a huge special on JIC's product right now until the end of the month. E-mail for details

Regards
