Default HPDE at VIR and Hurricane Isabelle

to all those heading to VIR this weekend for the HPDE with the Mazda guys...

any idea what the procedure is if the hurricane makes it impossible for us to do this? i know it is a rain or shine event, but the hurricane will be a little more than just rain. i dont want to be forced to not go because of the hurricane and lose my $300.

i guess i'll just hope and pray she turns north.

We were just putting up with the same thing for the Roebling Road event... the whole rain or shine thing is tough.

Ethically you should get your $$$ back... most likely I doubt you'll ever see it.

Earlier this year in March, THSCC cancelled a weekend I was going on and I opted to have the tuition go towards a future HPDE. It will be difficult with this as VIR is pretty booked up for the rest of the season. They should refund our money. I hope so, I have my car up on jackstands right now taking my cats off. I would hate to miss this weekend, but driving in the rain will suck anyways...

i agree that driving in the rain would absolutely suck, but not as bad as adding high speed winds to the rain. hopefully things wont be that bad and this will be a non-issue. however, if things do go down as badly as some say, i hope a refund will be in the works. i emailed dave nugent earlier today to see what was up. i hope to hear from him soon.
