Search box stays behind ads sometimes

Happens with Mozilla as well. Just click the advanced search part that sticks out.

well, that's obvious. otherwise you would have been able to search and see that this problem has been here for a while, and asked about numerous times

Yes sir, it is a common known problem. I do not believe there is a fix in the works. For the time being please use this method for accessing the search page:

also, each forum subsection had a search this forum option. i find this better to search for specific topics, cuts out 90% of the bull that turns up with using the general search.

It's because the ads are in Flash. A popup menu can be in front of a .gif or a .jpg, but because Flash is rendered "outside" the browser it gets drawn last.

This why it doesn't happen all the time only when an ad is in flash.

Yes, it is being looked into but for the time being use the method vo7848 suggested. Tnx vo.

When I developed a nissan website we ran into this same problem. There was something I did to always make the menu appear over the flash, if I find the code I'll paste it here.
