you should swap in an hr engine, they make 310-320 with bolt on's only, maybe you'll get less points tacked on that way

320 with bolt ons in an HR? the most ive seen is 280s with intake and exhaust.

we actually changed plans today to run 13:1 compression...bye bye pump gas

Well there hasnt been much to update recently. I ordered a sparco steering wheel and quick release since they might be some clearance issues with the Haltech Racepak and the oem steering wheel. The motor and heads are supposed to come in tomorrow from the machine shop. From that point, its work around the clock to get her running, broken in, and tuned for the NASA event in April at Homestead.

If you're going to raise compression that much I highly suggest going with the nismo heads. A compact/efficient combustion chamber is what you want if you're running an ultra high-compression motor in a race environment. Either that or have the stock heads welded up. It is almost universally true that reducing combustion chamber volume in the right spots is a much better solution (vs. taller piston dome) for raising compression in terms of knock suppression and, ultimately, making power.

I would assume it was corrected to simulate dynojet numbers....so I have yet to see an HR make over 300 on a dynojet.

Here's one that's very close to 300 on the dynojet, pretty sure it'll be 300+ with a tune.

I believe this is hiz-and-herz's Z.

Joesph can you use ITB's in the class that you run? They would work great on a 13 to 1 engine. If so call me, my numbers on the sfzcc phone list. We have a race set up in stock and I should be able to get you a good price.

We actually went with 12:1 to keep it a bit more simple...heads and engine should be in on Monday as we had some delays with the bearings. I havent seen a HR break 300 yet either so that chart looks a bit like BS to me.
I can use ITBs but I dont think I have the points for it. But if that changes, I know you guys have them. Its going to be tuned with a Haltech. I am not familiar with the nismo heads but TEC has built heads for thousands of race cars so I left it in their hands.

I believe this is hiz-and-herz's Z.
and this z has hiflow cars (not testpipes) and stock headers, and no tune.

A.H's z dyno'd at 265 on that same dyno. thats about on par with what they dyno on dynojets, my personal car dyno's at 265 on a dynojet (although 10 lower than the link above, but all dyno's and cars vary a bit), but thats not as important. whats counts is the gain. he went from 265 to 318 whp on the same dyno, thats a 53whp gain...
