Default Used cams??

Anyone have any opinions on used cams? My concern is the way that they wear in the cam journals and how the individual lobes wear on each valve. Would u put used cams in ur head?

Thanks.

We had to fight to get a separate NA Forum to start with, but it's coming along. There are several nice NA builds now and lots of good information. I think NA builds will get more and more popular as time passes on.

I went with a used set of JWT S2, but I knew the guys selling them and they only had 3K miles on them... he provided a copy of the original invoice - and I took them to JWT in person and Jim Wolf himself inspected them... they were in good shape other than cleaning up the journals... Technosquare installed them and cleaned 'em up prior to install.

So, in some cases, it isn’t a bad idea to buy used cams.

I respsect the fact that u went the extra mile in having the cams inspected, that was definately a good idea and if jim wolf said they are ok than im sure they're are. I guess it's just like anything else all u can really do is take the time to make sure it checks out.
