I recently have been put into the rebuild or buy new short block scenario. I wanted to inquire if my 2005 VQ35DE with forged Eagle rods and Wiseco 11:1 pistons could safely turn at 7500-7800 redline with a set of BC retainers and springs? This of course includes a retune and flash but will still have stock heads and cams. Also the assembly will be balanced.
With that equipment and properly assembled your goal for red line is easily attainable (even 8k should be alright).......however cam selection will be important if you want to go that high and actually make it worth while
Good luck.
