Default VQ35HR strocker

Hi Guys
I need some advice to choose the parts to build my trackday car.

For the strocker i have two options :
Full BC strocker kit with 11.5:1 CR pistons and Tomei 272 cams (which lift ?)
or
BC crankshaft, connecting rods and the JWT cams and pistons combo, 12.5:1 CR.

600cc deatschwerks injectors, upgraded fuel pump (walbro or deatschwerks)
Do i need a fuel return system ?

For the intake i think of the admin tuning 3" longtubes intake and the EPS throttle bodies.

On the exhaust side i'm currently with the OEM headers, test pipes and an invidia Q300 exhaust. I think i'll take the tomei headers and DE test pipes over the PPE longtubes because of noise issues on french tracks. 95db static at 75% rpm range, 1 meter away from the exhaust at a 45° angle for most of the tracks.

For the oil i have a 19 row oil cooler, i'll take the CJM baffled oil pan, i'll take a nismo oil pump.
For the clutch i was thinking of the OS GIKEN twin plate TR2CD and some components from zspeed performance.

The engine management will be a motec with an AIM MXG dash.

Thank you.

Hi,
For the power goal i think around 400 whp would be good, i never saw a dyno of a vq35hr with a strocker kit na so i don't know what to expect.

I'm not interested in a carbonetic clutch because it requires a csc elimination kit and i never had any problem with mine in a little more than 90K kms.
What's BNIB ?

Brand new in box

Wouldn't stroking to a 4.1 limit your revs?

Thank you,
I don't think the strocker will limit the revs, on the contrary since the engine will be built, i would like to go to 8 8.5k rpms.

That's like 50k miles yeah? If it's been driven aggressively/new driver the CSC could go anytime from tomorrow to 200k km, but I wouldn't use that as a reason not to try that kit. Read up on it first of course but I've only heard good things.

I never did drag race or race starts with the car so apart from the trackdays there was no aggressive driving.
I know carbonetics is a good brand it' s not about that.
You're giving me doubts about the clutch now.

Very cool build it sounds like. The stroker kit should limit your revs because of piston speed. Forged rods can handle the high rpms easily but your cylinder walls might oval sooner than you want. I would try leaving it at 7500 MAX. That still pretty lofty. With that, you could use the stock oil pump too. Look into some stiffer valve springs or a dual spring kit if you get high lift cams so you don't hit coil bind.

As for your fuel return question, I doubt you'll need it since you're staying NA. The walbro 255 and the quoted 600cc injtecors will be more than enough fuel. To give you an idea of how much extra fuel that is, my cammed 3.7L had NO fuel issues on the stock 270ish injectors and fuel pump. I only upgraded becuasse I switched to E85 and didn't want to starve the engine at 8k rpms. If you want to save a little on injectors, the stock GTR ones are 570's and can be had under 200 easily

Any update on this? Just wondering if anyone has done a 4.0 or 4.33L vq35hr NA build yet?
