Jumped the fence
Hey all, I just picked up a 2006 Touring 6spd in Redline yesterday. It's freakin sweet! The wife and I decided with how terrible gas prices are, we figured it would be best to turn one car into two. We got out of an 07 G35 Sport that was a lease so we ended up with a new Civic LX for the thrifty stuff, and the Z for the fun. We also have an 07 Xterra OR that is set up for wheeling and that will just sit in the garage until we need it for camping or whatever. Anyhoo, the two new cars actually equals the G payment so we are coming out ahead considering the gas savings.
Oh and I'm from Portland, OR.
cheers!

Here is a pic... I have already ditched the grille since It's not by thing. I will be hunting for some different rims as well since I'm not a chrome fan. Oh yeah, the car also came with an Injen CAI and a Borla Catback.

It came off last night after I took the picture and it's way better now. I will be shopping for rims this week as well.

Welcome! Looks clean. Glad to hear the grille is gone. Perhaps you can cut it up and use it for the grill in the BBQ.
Look forward to watching your progress on the car. Congrats.

Here is an updated photo without the Weber BBQ attached... WAY BETTER!
Now just to get an idea of rim/tire size. I'm going numb looking at all the options and tire sizes. I know I at least want to stick with 18" and I don't want piss off the TCS. I went just slightly bigger back in the day when I had an 04 G35X sedan.... that damn TCS was not a happy camper. If any of you have personal input, it would be greatly appreciated.

The rims came in today... bye bye chrome!
Rota Torque (hyperblack) 18x9.5 +20 all the way around (I'm on a budget) with Falken 452 275/40 and 245/40
Now it's time for a drop.
Anyone want to buy some chromies?

looks great. All you need is a drop and you're set. Maybe a little spacer for the rear....

If you want a quick, cheap alternative why not have the chrome removed from the rims and have them either clearcoated, or painted gunmetal, etc.
