OK, I've been a member for a few weeks even though I just bought my first 350Z.
The name is Brian (no, not from Fast and Furious) and I live in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Home of VW sized pot holes from the crappy winters we have.
I'm not new to Zs. This one is my fifth. My first four over the past 17 years were all Z31s. I'm done with the Z31s. It's time to move up to the Z33!

I searched a long time to find one with what I wanted. (Red, roadster w/ NAV) I found this one on AutoTrader at a hole-in-the-wall dealer in Orlando.
I pulled some cash together, sold the '88 Shiro to a forum member on Z31.com and made the deal over the phone. (Pending my inspection) As soon as the wife and daughter heard the word "Orlando", they decided to make my car trip a vacation.
That Saturday, while mom and daughter went to the "Rat's Kingdom", I went and picked up my own version of amusement ride.
Here it is at the dealer.
The wife took the return flight back on Sunday and the daughter and I started driving back on Tuesday morning. Two days and 1,150 miles, the Z is now in my garage at home. Sitting next to our '04 Mazda RX8. LOL.
I drove the Mazda last winter and it did fine. I'll park the Z this winter and do the same again. The wife will take the Jeep. During the summer, now the wife gets the RX8.
Here's the RX8: This was taken when I joined the local Ferrari Owner's Club fall outing. The RX did a good job keeping up with the older Ferraris. (OK, it held it's own to the 308GTB and the 328 but failed against the 348, 355, Testarossa and F430 F1 ... duh! Still it was an honor and a blast to run down the backroads with them)
(My RX in the top left waaayyy in the background. No this is not my house and I don't own anything Italian. Damnit!)
Only minor mods on the RX. (K&N Typhoon II intake, Greddy FSTB, Progress Sways and some cosmetic things like JDM clear corners (not pictured here.) Since I had to share this car with the wife, I never installed the Espelier springs or HKS exhaust. Too much noise for my nerves. (Noise from the wife, not the exhaust.) The only way to settle this was to make the RX hers and the Z mine.
It seems to be fate anyway. When I first met my wife in '93, she was driving a Silver '88 Mazda RX7 Turbo II and I had a Red '87 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. Some things in life do come full circle!
