Default Dowdy Huty from ILL

So I was a member here back from 04-05. Here's my new Z. It's a DB 04' w/ 39,000 miles Touring w/Bose no nav, JWT intake and I think Apexi N1 Exhaust. Gets tinted tomorrow and springs and a DD Nav HU are en route. I look forward to moddin a different Z!

Here's my old 04' Enth. 19" Axis Hiros, 350Evo 3.9 FD, JWT intake, Nismo Cat-Back, APS Test Pipes, Hotchkis TVS, and some other minor stuff.

I traded my old 04 in for the 04 Evo and the 04 Evo in for the new 04 Z.... thats a lot of 04

AND I did it because I am moving from crappy chicago weather to fantastic san diego weather
 JP

Congrats! Yep, San Diego has some of the nicest Z weather around. Why did you get rid of the Evo? Wait, forget that question.

I had the Evo for 4 years, drove it pretty hard, and didnt have any problems with it. Plus I would have had to demodify it for the move (Smog rules!) and do a bunch of service. I only sold my last Z because it sucked in the snow, the Evo had 68k on it when I traded it in. Needed front and rear rotors, new pads, and a timing belt. Traded it in for this Z which only has 39k, and my car payment/insurance dropped $175/mo.

I plan on doing 18 x 10 Enkei RPF1's all the way around, tanabe gf 210 springs, Black roof overlay, its at my tint guys place right now getting 35% all around, and in 2 weeks I am ordering some type of stereo setup. Eventually I'd like a 4.0 gear with Nismo diff cover but thats last on the list because I could change my path.

I've been away from Z's for so long and missed so much. Has anyone put the new GTR motor in one? How about an RB25/26? I know of the LS2 swap but I'd prefer to keep the motor in the nissan family, just curious.

Oh yeah, and I traded in the Evo with a foam front lip from home depot that cost me $10, but looked like it cost about $300, I put it on right before I went because mine was all chewed up.

Did some work over the weekend, will post pics soon.

- Rear Wiper Delete
- Rear Bumper Tuck
- Window tints (35%)
- Claybar/2 step buff/Wax

changed the LSD gear oil but that doesnt count as a mod. ha. I also have the mirror mount for the passport on the way. Will be adding a plenum spacer, springs and black roof overlay in a few weeks.

Welcome back to the fray. You'll catch up on all the news quickly. Not sure about the R35 motor in a 350 yet, can't think of one off hand.

Good choices in cars. You can't go wrong with either one.

Looks good. Don't you miss the rear wiper when it's raining, or have you got industrial strength rain dispersant on your windows.
