Default New 350z owner in Philly!

Hello 350z Community!

I recently became lucky enough to own a 2005 350z Touring Convertible 6MT. It is low mileage and I bought it just over wholesale...when it gets cold in the northeast, you can buy convertibles cheap! I'm really excited to get involved with the Z community and celebrate the car and brotherhood.

I am also the owner of a 2003 Honda S2000, hence my screen name. I am really active with the local S2000 club and hope to have equal time here. I truly enjoy both cars as each offers something the other doesn't.

I am looking forward to learning a lot about the Z and very excited to have it in my life. Hope to see some of you at local meets!

--Chris

Alright, sorry about the absence of pics. Here is my S2000, and I don't have a pic of the Z yet. Truth is, I am a little ashamed of an aftermarket add on from the previous owner. They put these self adhesive fake air intakes just in front of the rear wheels. They look hideous, so no pics yet. The dealership will be removing them Thursday and full detail...plus I have not had the time to remove all of the dealership marketing labels, front plates, license plate ring, etc...This Saturday will be the photo shoot and I'll upload pics of the Z then.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome. I think you will really enjoy the Z. If I had the space, (and cash of course) I'd love to have both an S2k and a Z. Totally different cars yet both are very nice in their own way.

I believe I asked where in Philly you hail from.

and you are a smart smart man not to post pictures of the car with those vents. I already like you.

Northeast, near Langhorne. I work in trenton.

Yeah, the faux vents are brutal...probably the reason the dealership struggled to sell the car and probably the reason they practically 'gave' it to me. Even if they F'up the paint in the removal process, it would look better than these things.

I did take a pic of the Z on my cell this morning while getting gas. After looking at it, I can't take a chance on the immense flamming that would ensue if I posted it here. Therefore you all will get the 'after' pics.

Congrats on the Z. Its awesome that you get to keep the S2000. It took a long time for me to make up my mind if I wanted the Z or S2K.

Am down in Wilmington just south of you.

ah, my friend lives up there. he has a white evo with a CF hood and some nice wheels. make sure to race him if you run into him (he's a previous Z owner).

good luck with everything. I live in CC.

You didn't, by chance attend the last Lehigh Valley Meet a few months back with dinner at Platz's afterward did you? There was a modded 350z at the run (cracked his front splitter) that I was crazy about and was the inspiration for me to buy my Z. The ride home down the turnpike through the tunnel was amazing to see that Z just launch and go. I have to upload the pic (from my work computer), if it wasn't you, maybe you know the guy...That car was awesome!
