Went to a local guy with a small specialty dealership here a week and a half ago that has a good rep for finding cars clients want (auctions, local dealer trade-in's). Gave him a couple cars I had in mind, one being a daytona blue Z. While I was in speaking with him, he got a call from a local dealership that was taking a Z in on trade in and wanted to know if he'd be interested in buying it to sell. 06 Daytona Blue GT, ~30k miles, 6mt.
I told him he needed to get it for me, so he did. Took her for a test drive last Friday and after seeing the carfax was flawless decided it needed to be mine. I'll be finishing up paperwork today and hopefully taking it home today or within the next few days.
Here are a couple shots I took from my storm, don't expect great quality. I'll update with digital cam pictures later this week/end after I give it it's first detail.
Anyway, look forward to learning a ton and being a valuable part of the community for awhile.
Nice Z...Welcome. Couldn't help but laugh at the Jagerbomb comment though....*pumps fist*
don't get me wrong, have tons of 'em around here. i tend to stay away from the bars/clubs they flock to.
also - for those interested.... got the car off the lot at 17,5 plus tax, etc. book value had it at 22,5 I believe. a hair over 30k miles. sounded pretty good to me, what's everyone else think?
it's listed as a GT, but I'm not 100% sure on the differences between track, base, GT, etc. is there a link where I can find descriptions on them?
alright after reading through the link, i'm assuming I have the touring package... but if anyone knows differently please let me know.
definitely didn't notice brembos (track/grand touring) when looking at the car. and for my model year the track/grand touring cars also had lightweight rays rims. correct me if i'm wrong, but those aren't rays rims on the car.
for some reason i haven't been able to post pictures from my home computer, but here are a few i took over the weekend. went up to north jersey to my parents house for a cobra club bbq they had. they frequently have 15-25 cobras together for cruises, but unfortunately with the iffy weather in the northeast only 4 actually brought there cars.
