Yes. They don't have the Bose Option, thus no tapedeck. And nav is pretty rare but it was an option.
I am sure there was a Bose option in 2003 on certain models, but not the Track. What kind of tape deck was available with the Bose? I was not aware of one.

A cassette tape deck.
Basically if you have the factory Bose headunit, it has a tape deck built into it with "Bose" written on the little flap. If you have anything BUT factory Bose, you won't have a tape deck built in (The non-Bose units have the little dots on the front of the head unit where the tape deck would go).
I have an 03 track it does have bose (replaced with allpine type x) and I do have navi..
Just would like to clear that up
Then either it was an option for Canada, or someone put it in because the 2003 track model doesn't come from the factory with it. I'm pretty sure the head unit is plug and play, so it wouldn't be hard for someone to "upgrade" (If you consider that an upgrade) a non-Bose headuinit with a Bose one. Do you have the Bose speakers and amp too?

This is amazing, I can not even remember the last time I used a cassette tape deck. Nissan must have gotten a good deal buying that crap from Bose.

The Bose HU in my Audi had a tape deck too. But remember, at least in the case of Nissan. The HU isn't made by Bose. It only has it stamped on it because some of the speakers, and the Subwoofer amp are Bose. Thus the reason the non-Bose HUs look just like the Bose ones, minus the tape deck.
You aren't missing anything if you don't have the Bose option. Bose isn't what it used to be, and was never ment to sound good in a car. But people think they are top of the line because it costs alot, so that's why auto maker push it so much. The only reason i haven't changed mine out is because i didn't buy the Z for how good i can make the radio sound, and i hate how aftermarket HUs ruin the OEM flow of the interior.
BTW i was refering to the 2003 Track edition only not having a Bose option earlier. Not all 2003s. My 2003 Touring has factory Bose.
