New Wheels
Howdy,
Quick note, This thread is not about new wheels but new wheels as in my new car. Defintiely didn't think that one through before I posted this and Im not sure I can change the title… My apologies. Anyways..
My name is Sean and I am from Topeka, KS. I am 20 years old and am a Traveling Composite Technician for MFG Energy Services. I travel around the country repairing wind turbine components, specifically the blades and nacelle. Basically any component made with Fiberglass. Heard of a Facebook friend selling his Z mid August while I was working in TX. I made contact with my friend and began the process of figuring out how I can make this work. Long story short, was able to purchase the Z and my parents where kind enough to go pick it up for me as I was not able to come home to get it myself.
The Car:
2006 350Z Enthusiasts Grey
~120k miles
Manual
Engine Management Software
Volk TE37
NRG quick release wheel
Bride Seats
Takata Harnesses
I own two other cars. A 1986 Ford LTD Crown Vic and a 1987 Volvo 240 wagon. Im in no where near a professional car mechanic but love learning and experiencing working on my cars. I don't plan on doing much mechanical work to my Z for the time being.
I am super excited to join this forum and meet some awesome people who share the love for their Z as I do, and look forward to getting some awesome ideas to make my Z even more awesome. Feel free to shoot me questions or comments!
Thanks for reading.

Welcome and congrats on your new acquisition. One question on your list: "engine management software" is standard on every modern Nissan from the factory. Do you have an UpRev tune (using a reflash) or some sort of piggyback system?

Wow. Pleasantly surprised with this thread! Pretty nice car to start with-congrats!
I'm in Iowa for the time being but plan to move to KC MO in the next 6 - 8 months, maybe we could meet for a track day or cruise once I'm down there. Not trying to get the Cart ahead of the horse or anything
I do question your wheels though- what sub-sub model are they? I know TE37s but they immediately reminded me of the Tokyo Time Attacks without the stripe. I'm not super well versed in all the models but know that those aren't the plain Jane (awesomekickasstotallycool) TEs as yours have more concavity than those.
Welcome to the forum and hope to see your Z in person at some point!

Thanks for all the kind words!! To answer(try to) a few questions.
**Please keep in mind. As weird as it sounds(it is) I have not seen the car in person nor have I driven it. The guy was selling it for deal of a price and I wasn't going to be able to wait to come home to go get it myself. All this information has come from him and my father who drove it home and gets it out to look at it ever night. I will most certainly know more about my car once I get home at the end of September and will probably make another post then.**
The lip. Honestly have no idea
The Wheels. Straight up Volk Racing TE37. Not for sure on size.
Performance Mods. N/a at the moment.
Engine Management. Its the UpRev tune. Dad tells me theres a cord under the dash I can hook my computer up to. LAWL
Meeting up in KC. Heck yeah man!! I would love to meet up and shoot sh** about our Z's and cars in general!!
