I've searched and can't find a way to get a aux audio input on my stock 2008 NISMO radio... no adapters??? All I have now is a FM transmitter on my mp3 player but its not that great. Any way to get a direct input to my stock stereo... I'd like to keep the stock look of the Z.
hmm correct me if im wrong but can you get a universal kinda wiring to were you can get a the ipod/aux audio port? i know in the rx-8 you can but when doing aux you had to a have a black cd with nothing but silence on it your better getting a after market deck and getting the ipod thing or w.e you need to get and it cool becuase then you can get blue tooth and be a safer driver lol o and if you wondering you can get a thing were you can still keep the steering wheel controls working with the audio deck.
I have a USA Spec iPod Interface adpter that I used in my 08 Nismo for three months. I'm selling it, PM me if you want it. It's pretty much new, and it works great. I give it 9 out 10 rating. I'm selling mine for$75.00 with the new Iphone 3G cable.

It says that it's based on the CD interchanger, does it basically replace that? So no CD's? Also, would it work in an 07 do you know, which doesn't have the 6 CD changer, only 1 CD at a time?
Sorry for all the questions - just curious as this would be a cheaper alternative for me as I really miss being able to play my ipod too.

the only way is to get an after market radio or you could buy a 07/08 touring or grand touring 350z radio and swith it out. the stereo in the nismo is just a base model and will not play mp3. but technically the touring model stereo is still stock....????

Don't be sorry for the questions, that's why I come here, to get answers and to give answers. That's why this forum has such a good archive, Anyways.
Very easy. Should take you 30 minutes with the right tools.
No you can still use your factory radio CD player. When the iPod Interface adpter is installed, and the radio is on, you just tab the radio button to toggle between the CD player and the IPod option.
Basically the factory radio thinks that iPod Interface adpter is the external CD changer, because it plugs into the CD changer female port on the back of the factory radio. So the answer to your question is yes. You won't be able to use a factory CD changer, but then again; why would you need a CD changer when you've got an Ipod in your car. The harness that it comes with also plugs inline with the factory harness, then plugs into the radio. And yes, it will work on a '07 BOSE and Non-BOSE radio. Hope that helps.
