Default Suggestions on tranny fluid or rear diff fluid?

I was wondering the following and figured someone on here could probably help:

1) Is it worth changing the transmission fluid to synthetic, and if so, which one would be the best and when should i do it

2) Is it worth changing the rear differential fluid to synthetic and once again if so, which one would be the best and when should i do it

3) Which oil is most preferred? Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil 1 etc for use in the Nismo

My car has less than 1,000 miles on it and my friend is a service writer at a nearby mechanic shop and said he could get the tranny fluid and rear diff changed for me for $58 each (labor only) and would give me a discounted price on the fluid, but they can not get Amsoil so i would have to go through some other channel to obtain it if you guys say it is the best to use.

Thanks for any of your input, much appreciated

There's no harm in changing out the trans and diff fluids to synthetics. In fact, you'll see an increase in MPG at a minimum. Royal Purple or Redline preferred.

I wouldn't waste the money on synthetic engine oil. You're better off with frequent changes using a name brand petroleum based motor oil.
