So the other day im driving a good half hour from my house to dinner and everything sounded normal, left the resturant and right when i got to 40mph i could hear a droning wheel bearing noise and got louder when turning right and went away when turning left. I am a technician at a ford dealer so i thought it was a wheel bearing because ive had to fix explorer wheel bearings for the past 3 years like everyday and its the same sound as every other one. But I figured there is no way my wheel bearing is bad at 7,200 miles. So today after work I put it on the lift and sure enough the LR wheel bearing is shot. Can move the axle nut with my hand and the wheel/rotor moves a good 2inches. LOL, but i was looking through the forum and another person had this issue at 12,000 miles(also a Nismo). So maybe it is a common issue/or the manufacture techs are not torquing some all the way, anyone else have any issues.
OMG! my left rear wheel bearing on my nismo went bad at 5k miles. same symptoms as heard, and when I got my cross drilled rotors put on, the technician was able to detect it, and saw my rotors would still move after being torqued on. Got it fixed though. I thought I was the only one!
ive read on the forums, there were some other nismos with the same problem. Do you guys know if its covered by warranty? Is this actually a common problem?
