Default How does the Nismo ride?

Like the title says how does it ride? I haven't driven a Nismo yet as the closet one to me is more than 200 miles away, but i have driven a regular Z and though i have heard many people say its bad, it still didn't seem to bad even over terrible roads. After reading reviews about the Nismo they said it cant be a dd. I don't live in the best part of town and the roads are uneven and very bumpy. Since it will be my dd i'm wondering if it might be too bad and might be prone to hitting the chin spoiler or damaging something else. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can DD it...I do

but the chances of a overly big speed bump can graze for front bumper or the side skirt at the front...driving a lower/stiff car comes with knowing when and where to drive this nismo your gonna buy...

my input

X2. It isn't that bad once you get use too it. If you come from a Lexus into the NISMO Z, then you will think it's pretty bad. I actually enjoy it and love how stiff and the way it handles.

Oh and that lip works great as a bush whacker............at my track event last weekend going off. LOL!

Sure it can be replaced, but it's $400 to replace that black plastic under piece.

I DD mine but have a Maxima for the winter, rain, and dirt roads. You do have to be very careful about the chin spoiler when parking and on short steep pitches. Just park well short of bumpers, go in at an angle, and use common sense. As to noise and stiffness, I would not say it is harse on decent roads. but it is a little noisey. Actually the "good" smooth/grooved gray cement roads are the noiseiest vs asphalt. I was concerned as well it would shake out your fillings, but not true at all. Quite well behaved for the quality of handling. It is a sports car though, not a luxury Caddy, Lexis, etc depravation chamber.

I dd it 80 miles round trip to work each day, sometimes further if going to a cleint's office amd I don't have a problem as long as you have driven a lowered car before.

Know and understand the roads you are driving on and where you are going. Like said before, watch for steep inclines, speed bumps are ok if going slow and at an angkle if necessary and dont pull up too far in a parking spot or you will destroy the front spoiler

I say you get it and enjoy it.

P.S. - The only thing that sucks about it being a DD is that I am a perfectionist and always want my car as clean as possible and hate driving in the rain or across the bridge and collecting bugs, but thats part of it. I like to keep my car immaculate because not much pisses me off more than when someone has a nice car and doesnt take care of it. That person will never be me. Neighbors gave me the title of having the cleanest cars in the city. Very proud

Mine is daily driven in NJ without any problems. I won't go over speed bumps and make some severe judgement calls that require occasional walking, but the car is worth it.

It doesn't ride any worse than my old Eclipse. People stating it should not be daily driven have grown too accustomed to the luxury vehicles of today. This car won't rattle your teeth or eyeballs out of your head. Feeling the road is just the nature of cars like this.

Yes, as everyone else has noted it has a stiff ride and I jokingly equate it to driving a go-kart. But I've also noticed at highway speeds on some concrete patterns that sometimes the car gets a resonant vibration (might not be technically right, but you get the picture) that makes me a little nauseas.

^^^

this is a big part, when on bumpy surface at high speeds the car is unbearable...

when I read that part I had a flashback. Of this stretch of road on the highways heading towards seattle from bremerton when I use to live there that made me feel like my car was about to fall apart...
