I commute 40 miles each way to work every day. Today on the interstate (Morristown, NJ 287N), I was in the left lane following a commercial pickup. He hit something that bounced left, hit the jersey wall, and stopped immediately in front of me. I probably made connection at over 50 mph.
It was a recycling bin. I stood on the brakes until I thought the car behind me was going to tag and let off.
The damage was a lot less than I ever imagined. I was able to rub off the marks with my finger. You can see where I rubbed through on the right side of mark. That bumper is a LOT tougher than I imagined.
I have to credit the clear bra and all the wax I apply. Ignore the straight, white line under the strike points...that's the clear bra seam. There's a lot of wax in there.
Wow! Shoulda been more damaged than that at 50mph. Do they make clear bras for the whole door? some Ahole keyed my door 2 years ago.
I'm pretty confident a key would go through quite easily, but find a dealer/installer and you can get the entire car covered. It's a pretty regular request.
OP, are you happy with your clear bra? I am apprehensive to get one on my car because I dont want it to yellow or crack and end up making the car look horrible.

Thanks for any input
I've had it on a year and a half with no yellowing or cracking. Have you seen any clear bra with those issues? I wax mine all the time. The only downfall is I don't waste a lot of time trying to remove the wax from the seams.
