So I put in my order for a white z34 nismo last saturday with my local dealer, they call me yesterday to tell me that it is no longer in production and I will have to purchase one immediately and that they could transfer one to their dealership asap.
Smells a bit fishy, seeing that the car came out July 19. I know the z33 nismo only produced about 1607 for two years, so I can't see how it's already out of production and not available to order after one month?
Has anyone else heard this or do you think my dealer is just trying to make a quick sale?
but from the info that ive gathered nissan isnt selling a whole lot of the 370z so they might cut back on production of the nismo if there is the lack of demand for the regular 370z
Maybe they are just done with the model 09 production and the next round of production will be 2010 Nismos. But they want your business now instead of middle of next year.
I must have gotten pretty lucky. I put in my order in mid-July & got in on the July production run. I get my Nismo next week...I'll post the series number.
I asked my dealer about how long it would take to order a 370z anything and they told me 5 to 6 months at least... apparently the cars are made 100% in japan...
2010 Nismo will arrive @ dealerships Feb. or March of next year, thats what the sales man said yesterday.Probly stoped taking orders for 09.Had them offer me #49 red 370 Nismo to me for 40860 out the door.Told them i'll come back in March when 2010 arrives and get one (09)for 37500 out the door.Should happen the economy's not going to get better. It's a buyers market!!!
