Talking Off to Zerolift for TT goodness

Hey guys:

Been a long while since I have been on this forum. I normally hang out on THE 370Z forums. Anyway, my NISMO is off to see the wizards at Zerolift Autolab in Fairfield, OH for some Twin Turbo goodness.

More to follow soon...........

Please get a unique set of kicks for your car.

I have some really unique ideas that I've been kicking around if
you're remotely interested. I also have a line on MANY setups
super cheap given the current state of affairs.

gl w your build either way.

Hmm, Not to hate on ZL, Baily, Rob, TJ, Drew, or any of the ZL guys. You are passing, 2 of the biggest Z shops in the country to get the car to ZL, just wondering why?

Forged & Injected are both on 75 up from TX and I dare say they both have more experience working with Boosted Zs.

I order parts from them here and there, and have known most of their guys for years, but what is your decision process on this? They are great at swaps, importing motors, anything drifting related, and much more... But I don't personally know of any boosted 370Z or even 350s that have come out of there and made power or lasted.

ZeroLift is real close to me. As well as answering everyone else's question, why exactly did you chose ZeroLift? Idk much about them personally.

bolting on parts isnt rocket science. and if he's using the reflash from GTM, they dont even have to do tuning.

I went with Zerolift because I have worked with them quite a bit in the past. Mike and the guys are passionate about what they do and I am certain that they will take care of me while I am out in the desert. The only debate is whether to go with the GTM Stage2 or custom. As far as, cosmetics go, I am waiting until I get the guts together before I make any changes. I do have a few items that I have been eyeballing, but that is not my focus........

Looking for 550WHP-ish, but I am going to build a motor on the side to go ***** out with. I will have the guys at Zerolift chime in and post up some pix and numbers once everything is all hashed out.

Please make sure you get an executed contract.

See that there are regular updates if you are unable to
view the project consistently. Submit only a small amount
of contract value to get started. The balance should only
be paid upon completion and buyer approval...

Also set a critical path for completion with recourse should
the time-frame not be met.

Good luck. Be patient. Get everything in writing.

Am not an attorney, however this is what I would do for
myself.

So fast forward to now and the 370z NISMO is gone! Replaced by a 350z NISMO and I am loving it! The goal is the transplant as much of my existing parts as possible. The only thing that we have found to be incompatible from VHR to HR (or however you want to look at it) is the CSF Radiator. My 3" inch Fast Intentions cat-back requires a little convincing at the mid-pipe, but that isn't going to be a problem. The intercooler and turbo piping needs some massaging as well, but that was expected. Here are a few fun pics:

Another shot of my 370Z TT stuff

An empty engine bay

My HR on the cart

Competition Clutch twin disk organic rated at 750 lb/ft torque max

Motor and transmission back together again

Turbos, downpipes, wastegates, and dump tubes installed

Mmm Hmm

More to follow soon!

Where did you source your wastegate dump tubes (waste gate extension pipes?

If it was me, I'd run independent vacuum lines to each of the waste gates...

great build!
