Default nitrous and a tune?

i know with my civic people normally try to get a tune to be safe and they only push a 75 shot if theyre vin diesel haha.
but from what ive read the Z motors seem to only appreciate you hitting them with a 100 wet shot, (although i saw some peoples sig saying 150shot, dunno if they built up or not) so you guys running 50's 75's and 100's..... do you feel that its nescessary for a tune, or is it fine? (is it safe?) also are you all just doing the one jet into the intake tube?
im thnking that id like to get the individual runner manifold and do multiport nitrous injection if anything, to avoid nitrous pooling in the manifold and blowing up. (search streetfire and youll see what i mean)
thanks for any responses

most of the ppl I've seen don't tune unless it's over 100shot... I think it's a factor of safety and cost. I'm running a 75 shot and got a dyno done to make sure my A/F's were safe...I have a handful of other bolt-ons and I've heard that our cars can vary significantly. (If my AF's were too lean, I would have changed the jets to increase fuel flow)

from what i have seen here alot of people are running 100 shots no tune no engine build and have been doing so for a while now with no issues. I would say anything over 100 definateyl tune though. Be smart and dyno to check the air fuel like first350 just mentioned

I couldn't find any parts house locally that had the spark plugs I needed, so I ran SGP and had them put in my plugs. While I was up there, Mark and I were talking about tuning for 150 shot. He said 75 shot jets are perfect for the Z. It doesn't tax the motor too much and the A/F reading are pretty decent. So no tune is necessary. I'm waiting until I get a UTEC before upping the shot, regardless of what everyone else has been doing. With all the weird sh*t the stock ECU does, I don't wanna risk it. Plenty of ppl have done more with the stock ECU, I guess I'm just ****.

I'm using 1 NX nozzle about 3" from the TB...i haven't seen anyone run a multi-injection type systen on the Z yet - from what I understand, the minimum shot is around 35 (anything lower is not too accurate), so 35shot*6cyl is putting you at a 210 shot...is that what you meant by "multiport nitrous injection"?

well i was thinking of this manifold... http://www.kinetixracing.com/index.a...PROD&ProdID=12

i really hadnt put much thought into the idea of multi-port injection to tell ya the truth. but now i realize ill give up on it lol. ill probly do full bolt-ons and a 75 shot with some drag radials.
