Default NX Kit Setup, need opinions/advice

Okay, so I plan on getting a n2o setup done and planning to call up function tuned to get them to do it all, just want to make sure I have everything I need and if theyre at the right pricing.

Also, I see people saying 75shots is enough, some say 100shots will work fine but not as safe on the stock engine unless I buy extra support parts.. which to do??

Here's my part list along with prices I am finding at the moment

NX Nitrous Express Import EFI Kit 20923 $500
NX Nitrous Express GenX-2 Accessory Kit (Fuel Pressure Switch, Heater, N2O Pressure Gauge, Blow-Down Tube, Purge Valve) $360
Turbo XS UTEC (Replaces TPS, RPM Switches) $800
NGK Copper Spark Plugs LFR6A-11
NX #11107 Nitrous Express Remote Bottle Valve Opener $250
DynoTune N2O Digital Pressure Gauge $170

Comes out to be $2080 just for parts... Seems a bit high, but I think I covered everything I needed.

Please let me know if I have any redundant items or am missing anything.

Thanks!

I would just go with a complete kit from ZEX, they have a new technology that will regulate presure so you dont need a bottle warmer and it comes with a window switch and downtube and everything and its like $500, only thing I can think of that you need a a remote bottle opener with that setup. yes its on ebay ithink still

um you still should have a bottle warmer to get the pressure up, and zex now makes a 350z specific kit that has an aam style fuel tap, kinda cool

back on topic, i would get a wideband and fuel tap(not the standard splicing fuel line one) but thats the only things i can think of you needing in my book, not a necessity but good to have

i saw a zex nitrous kit on ebay for $510, but wasnt sure how reliable they are compared to NX since i seem to read more on NX than zex on most of the threads

so assuming i switch over to the zex wet kit, my setup would only need these:

ZEX #82021-P WET Nitrous Kit
NX #11107 Nitrous Express Remote Bottle Valve Opener
UTEC
Copper Spark Plugs
DynoTune Digital N2O gauge (to replace the kit one)
Purge kit

?

you could use it on a g35 i would think

zex has a website that doesnt change the address, the link to the kit is featured on the main page( www.zex.com)

Zex makes a great kit, but you are going to have to buy everything just like the NX kit...I personally would contact the guys from performance factory and ask they know the most about this thing...everything in your first post looked good, and i would go with NX over Zex using the UTEC because you dont need the zex built in TPS system which is its biggest draw

yeah i looked at the kit on their site before. i hate to make the assumption that the 350z kits are compatible with the g35 perfectly, and turns out i have to buy even more crap

im actually in talks with a guy with a new nx kit for 400, so im hoping to go through with this one
and im thinking of dropping the dynotune gauge for a while and just get the utec, nx, sparks, and nx genx-2... then getting hte remote later as well as maybe nicer gauges

You may be better off with the copper ones. I'll have to do research myself, but I may switch from iridiums. I melted the number 1 and number 3 plugs on a 125 shot.

i plan on doing a 75 or 100 shot to be on the safe side.. heard mixed reviews on the 100shot.. so i may stick to 75 if 100 is going to threaten anything on my car

I only started having problems when I tried to up my shot to 125. 100 shot should treat you nicely, especially if you have the right tune in the UTEC.

should i bother getting the digital n2o gauge since the nx genx-2 has one? (trying to cut down on these parts costs so i can afford the install & tune)

also, im looking at the wide band products from dynotune.... whats the difference? i dont think ill go wide-band bc of the price, but i am getting the fuel tap, which i actually noted down but forgot in my original list

I can help you out with any Dynotune product. Sub that NX stuff for Dynotune and it's $825 shipped to you.

The guage that comes with the GenX kit is a small mechanical bottle mount guage. You want an electrical gauge to mount up front. Get the digital one from dynotune, its cheaper then the analog one I bought from autometer. Pick up the dynotune switch center and you can mount them in your cubby with a $35 piece from crawford like this;

As for a wideband, you can add one on to your UTEC for $400 from TurboXS.
