List car mileage and nitrous mileage
Ive been researching a lot of hours into installing a nitrous kit on my g35 coupe. Came to this site because there is not alot of info on the g35driver site
I plan on getting:
dynotune wet kit
remote bottle opener
dynotune bottle warmer
dynotune round gauge 4 switches
nitrous pressure gauge
window switch
-2 degree timing
colder spark plugs- just bought
and get a tune
sadly my car has more miles than i wan but i need more power since it will be a while til my 300zx tt is running
My g35 has 139xxx miles.
Since there is alot of members on here with nitrous hooked up i thought it would be a good thread for information. So list mileage on your car before nitrous install and how many miles the nitrous has been installed without problems to compile it all in one thread. also list what shot you are running
miles before nitrous/ miles running nitrous / shot

Don't put nitrous on with that mileage or have a plan b ie motor. Understand that the mileage doesn't matter. If you spray 100 or under and have it TUNED not just retard the timing you have a better chance. Mileage doesn't matter bc you don't drive around spraying nitrous in town in a 35mph.

In for other replies..
I've never heard that mileage doesn't matter, but that theory makes sense. Still seems like mileage would matter based on the current state of the engine.

Mileage doesn't matter bc how idk how to say unknown nitrous is. Lot different then turbo or sc which build up. Nitrous is instant power. So what I meant is whatever replies post doesn't matter. A brand new car and boom and 140k mile can boom. I ran 100 shot untuned on my last Z. I say total of 10 bottles. Before I sold it still made solid power on a dyno NA and I had 100k.

The point of the thread is to see how long people are running nitrous on thier car with no problem. the above statement you posted is wrong too. A care with 140k miles is gonna have parts worn down slightly more than a brand new car with 5k. Even though the 140k car could be running perfect you truly dont know the engines condition until it is broke down and you can look at it.
Would like to hear from others

They make sense to me. Not a lot of post bc the subject is stupid. Like I said looking for post of mileage doesn't matter. It's not like a forced inducted thread about mileage. At your mileage I wouldn't spray. Or have a backup motor. Again your looking for info that can't be tracked bc how differently it can be used and every engine and it's owner will go down different paths. It's like asking how long do X X X tires last when everyone chiming in will be lowered or not aligned or not camber arms or not drift or not autoX or not. Get my point?
And the 140k mile and brand new engine does make sense if you know ANYTHING about nitrous. Meaning it may be faster for the 140k mile to blow but either of them can go since nitrous is so violent. How about you actually read through 30 pages in the nitrous sub forum and stop looking to be spoon fed. If this stupid thread ever gets post which I doubt since mostly drag users or street racers run it all your going to do is ask questions no one can accurately answer

there is just so much misinformation here.
sorry but fitting a Nitrous kit is no different to the stresses and strains of turbo charging or Supercharging.
If you fit a nice kit, get a proper controller, i run a Maximizer 4, i bring the gas on at around 30% at 3450 rpm, and i ramp it up 5% per 500 rpm until 5000 rpm and then between 5000 and 6950 i run about 90% of my duty cycle, keep my AFR at around 11.1-11.3 and the car runs fantastically well. and it is not a violent hit, it comes in smooth and builds power.
shut the gas of well before 7500 rpm.. Car runs like a dream.

i have now got 96 000 Kilomtres on my 350z And i have run 9 bottles of Nos through my car since October last year.

I've been running 150HP shot since 2008. Just turned 60K miles. I still run the nitrous, but only 1 to 2 bottles every year over the summer on the drag strip. I'm thinking of building a whole new motor, but going TT this time. I'm getting tired of filling bottles.
