dont get a Tach signal from pin 62.
Hi guys! I have(sorry for the bad English) tried to get a tach signal for my Window switch that i bought from JEGS. But it seems like i dont get any signal to it. I have jacked the yellow/red cable from pin #62.
I have serached diffrent forums and get really strange info. Some say it dont work, other say it will work, some say i need a Tach adapter.
So wonder what i need to do, this is the only thing left for my Zex nitrous kit.
Will come up with many pics of my install and a Pic on how to get the electric work once i fixed this problem.

Hi again! Bought a Tach adapter and tried to istall it yesterday.
Now i have another problem. when i turn the ignition on the engine cooling fan starts.
Took the Red/green cable off and it stopped. So what is the problem?
The red/green cable on the tach adapter is hooked up on the Yellow/red Cable on the Cylinder 1 ignition coil. Have i installed it wrong? i have three cables on the coil. White, balck and yellow/red.
Im a little bit confused now :S

Try connecting to the black wire on the coil pack, should be the middle one. Kinda weird the cooling fans come on. Were you at least getting a signal, and is your window switch set to cyl 1?
http://www.msdignition.com/Products/...MR_Pickup.aspx That's what I bought to make my window switch work. had to clamp the middle wire right by the coil pack. It wouldn't work by the ecu.

My window switch can only be set to 2,4,6 or8 cylinders. Do i need to cut the wires for two cylinders to make it work? or is it fine to only cut the #62 wire?

I couldn't get it to work either. I purchased it, and an adapter with no luck.

I bought this with great success though

Try this;
Instead of using power and ground from the ECU, give it an independent power and ground.
At first I was using power and ground from the ECU pins, and it would sometimes work, and sometimes wouldn't. At that point I grounded it straight to chassis, and took power from my nitrous arming switch. After that I was good to go.
I have a problem with the JEGS window switch in another car. I have it set for 2800 and 5500, but the problem is when it drops below 5500 it won't rearm for some reason
