Default Car Buyback?!?

So, AllStar nissan sent me a flier saying they want to buy back my 350z. The usual "used car market is tight and they need inventory" which is probably code for "people are too cheap and are not trading in and buying vehicles they don't need and are too cheap to buy new".

Sadly the only car in the Nissan lineup I would want is a GTR (chances of them dealing on that is nil to... nil).

Anyone else get this offer?

Yeah I did too. With all my mods..... a 370Z would be a step backwards and the GT-R is too expensive!

Dealers do it all the time... they want to give you poo trade in for your car, and get you to finance/buy something new

Ignore. This is standard "marketing (see lying)" ploy. They get you into the dealership and give you the same crappy deal that they normally would. Same deal as when they advertise "sale" prices. B.S.

I figured as much but I was wondering how wide of a blanket they had cast. Plus I'm too busy nowadays to be bothered to sit through "dealer-talk".

I learned a long time ago buying a car is like buying a house. You walk in with pre-approval, your drop a specific price and option list you want, and if they come back with changes, you walk away... Unless you're in the mood to play mind games then you have fun trying to toy with them...
