Warranty will not cover my Throttle Body?!!!

Hey fellow z enthusiasts, my car has been at the dealer for two days now ever since my check engine light, slip, tcs light went on. The car had to be towed there because it would not start weds morning when I was taking it. The problem is the throttle body according to my dealer; I need a new one… I have an AutoNation Platinum extended warranty (cost over $1200 back in ’05) that was passed on to me from the former z owner. This is the first problem I have had with my car, besides the passenger window motor and axle clicking.
The service manager called me today and told me that he called claims and that an inspector would be here Monday. He also let me know that I would have to pay, besides my $100 deductible, around $500 for a reprogramming of the engine, and a new throttle body with install. My warranty coverage is a full bumper to bumper one and it makes no sense to me how a throttle body (an engine mechanical failed part) is not covered. God, I’m a college student and can’t pay this much right now; I was saving up for fluid changes that my car needs now that I hit 80K miles. End of rant – please discuss/suggestions
-Thanks,
K. Harbie

If it truly is bumper-to-bumper, then it should be covered. Read your warranty documentation so you can answer their every attempt at snowing you.

I am guessing most people have missed this post just because you posted it the strangest location possible.

some warranty companies will make you pay up front and then you get a check back from them. I know its stupid but.....
