Aaron, let me know if you need an extra set of hands and feet to drive your cars and stretch their legs.

been getting A LOT done on the cars the last week.
over the weekend I put an upgraded Timing Chain Tension (kind of a common problem for the car) on my S2000. Had Richie over to swap out the AP1 valve retainers with the beefier AP2 retainers. This ended up being purely preventative.
Swapped plugs and serp belt at the same time. i ended up ordering a new trim piece for the honda that I should have ordered 2-3 wks ago, so now I am waiting on that before installing the new top.
on the Z, we got the oil leak fixed. I had an extra bung installed in my downpipe in preparation for a couple things coming for the car. Today I reinstalled that downpipe. I also fabbed up some fuel lines and got rid of the overly complex APS duel fuel regulator setup I had going. Looking to not only simplify things, but also drop fuel pressure from APS 4 bar regulators. I have to order one fitting to finish the install, but it went really well considering I had made a valid attempt and making teflon lines before without much success
note to those ever attempting to make teflon lines. buy same manufacturer and product line fittings and hose. do not attemp to cross product lines. I tried to splice in a line that was on the car previously.... yeah, it is -6 line, but -6 line from manufacturer X is not the same as from manufacturer Y. With proper components, it goes together very nicely. Actually went so well I just ordered up enough line and fittings to make use of my inline fuel filters I have had sitting on the shelf now for 8 months.
I still have a few projects to finish up, mainly the top on the honda, some wiring on the evo, pull and clean injectors on the evo, and seeing if I can fit a fuel filter on that car as well.

bought it last winter.. so a little over a yr ago.
it's a low mileage 2000 model yr car, but it needed some love. I've given it that love in addition to sweat, blood, but no tears quite yet.
I finished up the top for the most part, just need to put all the plastics back in behind the seats.... and I need a little help from my brother to actually get it latched. new top is crazy tight.
i finished up all the fuel lines on the Z. I incorporated two inline fuelab filters. Took a little doing, but I tucked them up nicely. Making the lines was actually pretty easy. Routing, and tucking them wasn't as easy. I have a couple support clamps to install and that job will be completely finished. I have had the car up and running on the new adjustable regulator and new lines. I have a couple other little things I am working on with the Z as well. Hopefully all the work will be worth it. after the fuel issues I had last yr on my tune, I am crossing my fingers they will be resolved this yr.
All that said, I am looking for a stock injector harness for the Z. would like to get one in the next couple days. Guy on facebook says he has one, but hasn't responded to me in 6-7 hrs.

I picked up a stock injector loom yesterday. Will start my wiring project tonight or tomorrow with it on the Z.
Finished up the interior plastics on my S2000 today. Needed to order a couple more clips for the rear pan, but everything is in place.
I spent 3.5 hrs last night replacing the oil squirter banjo bolts on the honda as well. few yrs down the line they updated them from a 2 hole (larger holes) banjo bolt to a 4 hole (smaller holes) setup. Had to pull the oil pan, baffle and use an array of extensions to get at them. it went OK, had oil dripping on me the entire time. I did get it buttoned up and oil pan back on and resealed. I have a little exhaust work to do on the car and the honda will be all done and read to be driven.
Honda got a little love this yr:
new plugs
new belt
new timing chain tensioner
updated intake valve retainers
updated oil banjo bolts
new convertible top
new battery
exhaust work
Z:
new fuel lines
inline fuel filters
Adjustable Fuel regulator
front extended wheel studs
getting the sub box repaired... keeping my fingers crossed i get it back this week.
... and a couple other things I have yet to work on.

Damn that's a lot of maintenance. Makes you wonder what the engineers were thinking when they designed all of those cars.

Hey, where's the warm weather? If it's really supposed to rain later this week, I hope this will wash the crap off the roads. I've seen motorcycles and sports cars already out and about.

spent the day working on my Z yesterday otherwise I think I would have put the insurance back on the honda and went for a bit of a drive with the top down

They just started sweeping here today. I'm guessing they're cleaning up in time for the rain. Hoping to get a nice drive in soon.

It's that time again. I need to buy tires for the Z. Still looking at going a bit bigger than 275/40/18 for the rear tires. I think I was looking at bumping it up to 285/35/18. Any suggestions, guys? I'm all ears.

based on my recent tire purchases I am partial to Michelin Pilot Super sports. I just put a set of these on the front of my Z, replacing some Khumo tires I previously had. IMHO these tires are hard to beat.
I know that continental just released a new UHP tire in Feb. The ExtremeContact Sport. My guess, with the "sport" in the name, it is their direct competition to the PSS from michelin. Depending on the price, this could be a nice alternative to the Michelin. I have conti's on my van and on my evo. I am fan of the brand
edit: just checked tire rack for your 275/40/18. conti is 232 vs michelin 277. both brands offering $70 prepaid card when you buy a set of 4 tires
I have a set of Bridgestones RE-71R on my S2000. Might not be available in the sizes you want, but this tire is CRAZY sticky. It grips like a drag radial. Wear rating is low, but I doubt there is much out there that is as sticky as this tire.
when my Z needs new rears, probably this time next yr, I'll really only be looking at the new conti vs the michelin

So I pulled a few electronics from my Z. I have them listed on Craigs right now. I would rather not ship them if I don't have to.
if anyone is interested locally, I am open to offers
I have the following
HKS EVC 5 electronic boost solenoid $300
N2MB WOT BOX - 2 step/flat foot shifting $120
Full Fcon Vpro Gold V3.2 with knock amp, wideband, map sensor, the whole nine yards - asking $850

Thanks, Aaron. I am really leaning towards the Extreme Sport tires. I'm going to have to get 4 tires anyway, so I might take advantage of that $70 rebate.
What I really need after the tires is a new HU so I can have decent music.

Hal @ Dynosty set up a base map for me and I put 50 miles on the car today. After all of the fuel system rework I have been fighting leaks at the injectors. Had to end up swapping out the o-rings after 3 times trying to reseat them. Seemed to do the trick.
I am dialed in ready for my final tune now with 1050cc injectors. I got my base fuel pressure down to 43 psi at idle and have a nice proper pair of fuelab fuel filters plumbed inline. Gave the z a lot of love this yr. Hoping it pays off. Keeping my fingers crossed crossed. No guarantees in this game.
