Default Northwest Track Days

We have several good tracks in the NW and never see any other Z's or G's out there. Need to see some of you out there and drive your car the way it was meant to be.

Here are some video's from Pacific Raceway, The Ridge and PIR.

Bring your car out to the next NASA event at Pacific on the 14th and 15th, link below, if you have never been on the track before sign up for HPDE 1 and you get an instructor for the day.

NASA is a little different as they have actual race classes along with Time Trails and HPDE. For HPDE they have a 1,2,3 and 4. 1 being beginners with instuctors and and restricted passing, 2 same rules but moved up to run without instructor, 3 has more passing areas and 4 is an open track. They alternate the HPDE classes with the race classes and the TT guys run with the HPDE 4 group.

The events are all two days but you can attend only one day. The cost is 200 for one day and 300 for two, so the best value is two days. You run 4 20 min sessions per day

HOD is 300 for one day but you do get 5 or 6 20 min sessions in a day. I like NASA because their events are all on weekends and you get more time between sessions to relax. HOD run good events but they have moved all their dates to week days and that doesn't work as well for me.

Hope that helps and will see you out there sometime

I think the only place you're going to see a bunch of Z's together is during that yearly trip to Maryhill Loops Road that the ZCCW puts together. MY350Z.com is not the place to organize anything, since NOBODY will show up. Back in the day when these cars were selling new and people were more stoked about showing off their rides, there'd be a few good meets each year. Now that these are basically used cars, people don't have the same level of enthusiasm.

It looks like ZCCW already did the Maryhill trip for 2014. LINK HERE

I've been to SIR/Pacific Raceways a couple times with a friend of mine who's in the local BMW club and agree, it's a blast. I tried to set something up at Bremerton Raceway once, and 6 or 7 people committed to show up and none of them did. Everyone had some lame-*** excuse for not showing (it wasn't the weather; it was gorgeous that day).

The same lack of involvement goes with the Toys for Tots event they do every year at Pacific Raceways. It's a shame since it's a great cause, you see lots of 300Z's and 240Z's and 280ZX's. When I went last December, I was the only 350Z on the lot.

I'll probably check this out since I need to get some stuff from Griot's anyway. Might get a little bit more info on what the legitimate Z clubs are planning for the summer:

Tech Session: Z-Car Club
July 27th, 2014
Griot's Garage Store & Events Center
Tacoma, WA
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Didn't know about that, I may stop by for a bit. I have to be at Bremerton Raceway for an auto-x event in the afternoon and Griot's is on the way.

OK, if any of you are really serious about a track day read the information below from NASA, this is a good deal for a chance to take your car on the track

We are offering a new INTRODUCTORY session on Saturday July 19th known as HYPERDRIVE! Hyperdrive is a great way for new drivers to get on track and test the waters for minimal cost! The Hyperdrive event will include a ground school, one session of track orientation and etiquette, and one FULL HPDE 1 session. NASA membership is NOT required to participate in HYPERDRIVE and the cost is only $99. Anyone over the age of 18 with a valid drivers license may participate.

Thought I would share this weekends auto-x events. Saturday was the annual SSSCC event in Ellensburg where I placed 4th out of 15 and then Bremerton on Sunday and had another 1st place.
