Default Looking for an Osiris tuner...

Hey guys. So I am installing some breather mod's on MY07 base and am adding the cruise control as well and am trying to research who I would like to go with for my tuning...

I am pretty much writing off Drift Office as I walked in a little while back when I got my Z and the guy there said the Osiris was basically a waste of my money and offered very little gain for the money I would be spending. Even if he was trying to be honest and save me money an attitude like this is not what I would want trying to extract what little power you could out of my car..

So I'm torn between Intec Racing in Kent and making the trip down to Portland and going to PSI. All I have for PSI is an over the phone quote was $150 less expensive than what Intec offered. And I know the owner of this evo that they tuned

http://www.tunedbypsi.com/gallery-vi...tuned-by-PSI-7

but that is far from a very mild Z that I would like tuned

And lastly Intec I know nothing about. It's been quite a few years since I've been into the modded car scene so I'm a little lost on who to trust. Thanks guys.

Tuning will allow you to FULLY realize the mods that you have already done. So, the tune should be the LAST thing you do. If you have more NA mods you want to do, don't get a tune yet.

With all of that said, I had my tune done by PSI after installing a K&N filter, test pipes, and 5/16" plenum spacer and was able to net an additional 22hp and 46tq on my 2005 Base DE.

I've heard bad things about PSI... and I do know that Intec has rebuild more than one turbo Z that PSI blew up. Another option for tuning in the PDX area is Forged Performance near the airport.

Also depending on whether there's already a compatible rom file or not there may be an additional charge to add cruise; I know uprev started charging $100 to patch it into individual rom files if they don't have one that will overwrite your ECU and add it

Thanks for the input guys, I will have all of my planned N/A mods done before I go in for a tune. I'll start to look into forged as well.

I'm just feeling a little disappointed with everyone else's "customer service" to this point. Only one shop has really taken their time to contact me and tried to work up a game plan with me and what to expect. I know I should be more concerned with who is going to give me the results. But if I'm going to spend $600+ with you I would like some peace of mind up front. Not feeling like I'm just another dude with a lightly modded Z wasting your time.

unfortunately most tuner shops are not known for their customer service... Especially over the phone. If you want to stay local I would say stop by Intec and talk to Lawrence the owner/tuner and see what he says. Don't just talk to whoever answers the phone

Yeah, both are a tad of a drive but I should be heading to Southscenter this weekend so I will carve out some time to go talk in person. I will probably check back in once I've made a decision and have some results to be exited about, or sulk about haha.

While I do understand first impression and attitudes, my friend just had his car tune at drift office and he couldn't be more please with the service they provided him.
