are you just looking for an install, or do you want something with some flare?

i had good results at Sound Innovations in Hayward:

audiomobile in oakland has also gotten good recommendations on here and on driver.

Just looking for an install. I've got some gear that was given to me from a friend who was sponsored by a mid/low-end manufacturer that never got installed before he moved on to bigger and better things.

CD Stereo head unit, door speakers, DVD player, 7" sun-visor LCD's, 9" head rest LCD's, 14" drop-down ceiling mount LCD w/IR audio transmitter, 1 to 7 video amplifier and backup/parking camera.

I'll check out everyone's suggestions.

Cheers,
LWW

Thumbs up

OK guys...so i finally did get my spare key done and lot cheaper and faster than expected.

I was at San Jose flea market yesterday cause my sister wanted to get some grocery and stuff from farm produce etc and needed my help to drive the truck.. well to keep it short..I found a key store there , who said they can do it , if i bring the car to parking lot and call them .Well I got it cut and programmed and works same as the original.. all for $ 40. the service was very good.

they do sell oem Nissan blank keys for $ 70 but i used cheap eBay one which is $7. they said i did better research and got the right key with resistor value. the resistor should be Philips ph30 for the 05 Z.

anyway..if any of the folks need the key made , fast and reliable do approach

Carlos Ph: 4084010152

u can mention Mike referred ya with the grey Z.

Default Finding the right bodyshop

Hey everyone,

So it's been a while since I've been on the forums, and I'm sure most of you NorCal folks don't recognize my user name. I'm originally from SoCal, and recently moved here to San Francisco. Last friday, my car was rear ended twice by a dump truck in traffic. Seeing how I was new to the area, I didn't know which body shop to take my car too.

Luckily, I found CityTech Autobody, a shop that is managed/owned by one of our members here. I brought my car in today, and Patrick was super helpful. He discussed my car in detail, and was very professional and knowledgeable. He also tracks his car quite a bit, and his car is amazing. I'm sure you guys know who I'm talking about (Orange GT3RS color with Chargespeed kit).

Anyhow, I wanted to introduce myself to the NorCal folks up here, and provide some insight into what this may become. I'll post some before and after pictures along with some commentaries to show the work that he'll be doing on my car. If all goes well, look no further. This is the man to go to.

P.S. He also personally drove me back to the apartment so I wouldn't have to worry about a taxi.

Picture of the truck:

What my car used to look like:

Any recommendations on a shop for some simple exhaust work? I need a new bolt for the mid to y connection. I called ZCG and they are too packed with work as is so I wouldn't be able to do it for a couple weeks.

Excellent, thanks. I usually do all my work when I'm home, but I don't have a garage or jack here. Plus the washer on the bolt is the wrong size so it keeps coming loose.

Wanted to go to ZCG since they are the best and to check out the place. I just can't stand sounding like a ricer for much longer.

Anyone know where is a good place that can paint parts well for a good price?

I have a bumper that I want painted that can match the color of the car exactly.

Any estimation on price?

If possible, does anyone have stock chrome silver front bumper for sale?

I heard Apex Auto Body is good if you're in the San Jose area, they usually charge fair prices with good results. I'm getting sideskirts and spoiler painted soon so I'll find out about pricing as far as those parts are concerned.

check the reviews http://www.yelp.com/biz/apex-auto-body-san-jose

Does anyone know the approximate cost of painting a front bumper to match the color of your car?

I know I can't get an exact cost, but maybe just a range from xx to xx?

I know a place that will do it for about 250-300 cash. but that is you gotta remove the bumper and give it to them to paint and you gotta put it back on. that wut im about to do with the aerosync i should be getting soon. they are charging me 250 cash. and they have done a great work on my parents audi so they are pretty good if i say so myself

Rite-Way Wire & Wheel Specialists - 925 933-4046 - 1119 Alpine Rd, Walnut Creek = Wheel Repair- I had a great experience with Jose, not only did he try to fix my OEM rim but after multiple tries wasn't able to and instead sourced a replacement rim for me and placed it on my vehicle. Great service!
