I bought my aluminum low racing jack from Costco. I think it was $90, and it slides right under the exhaust to get to the diff.

Thanks Scott, I will check them out this weekend. I keep having to drive onto two yellow pages phone books to get the old jack under my Z.

Bringing this back. For the rear, I use the rear diff and then put the jack stands on the jack points.

For the front, however my jack isn't low enough (now that I've lowered the car a bit) to slide it in the front, so I have to use the side jack points to lift. Since I'm lifting at the side jack point, I can't use that same point for the jack stand (obviously, my jack is in the way as it's lifting), so I looked up many pictures on where to place jack stands and attached some pics.

For the front, should I put the jack stand where the red circle is? like right there where the bolt goes through, or should I place the stand somewhere along the black frame? Ignore the green circles lol

For the rear, similarly, am I better off using any of the circled points for jack stands vs the pinch point? I saw the other thread where someone posted using the spring bucket (green circle), but I read on some threads elsewhere to avoid lifting suspension areas...so I would think the red or black circle would be better.

thanks in advance!

Is that your car? Do you realize your camber arm is severely bent?

THAT explains why I need to keep replacing that one single tire...and when I go over bumps on the highway at 200kph it bounces all weird!!

haha J/K.. It isn't my car, I found the pics online and just added the coloured circles lol

For the rear, I currently just use the rear diff to lift and place jack stands on the rear jack points, but wanted to know if one of the circled spots was a better choice.

For the front, I don't know where exactly to place the jack stands aside from the jack point(but as mentioned above, this spot is where I lift with my jack, so I need another spot to place the stand on each side as I lift).

so I did my brakes yesterday, and for the fronts I used the joint there circled in red in the first pic above, but I was a little nervous so I still left the jack on the side with some pressure (I did one side at a time rather than jacking up both front sides). For future reference, can anyone confirm that this spot would be good for jack stands? In case I need to get the entire car up on four jack stands.

For the rear, I just lifted by the diff and put the two jack stands at the pinch point and was fine...I'm just not sure for the front.
