Anyone thinking of going with SpeedVentures 3/5 or 3/6? I see Patrick is signed up for Saturday 3/5, and I'm considering doing the same.

Note: Four 25 minute sessions instead of five, 20 minute sessions.

NCRC event at thunderhill just opened up again for this weekend. Said it was full last week. Maybe they had cancellations due to the possibility of rain?

Sorry Scott. I'll be moving that weekend.

- I did go off track once but it wasnt because of the rain. Was in fifth on the straight and down shifted a bit late. Couldnt balance the car out in time. Was able to shave off most of the speed before hitting the soft grass. Err...I need to stay off fifth but that keeps me at redline at the end of the straight...

Buttonwillow is pretty far... 4 hours away?

I only did 3 sessions in the morning, it was dry and I was slow, so no drama for me this time. My brakes were fried after run 3 so I had to call it a day. I was basically trying to get my friends into this so I gave them rides that day and that was my goal.

Mission accomplished...one of those friends and I signed up for the next one

So I won't be able to do BW this time...maybe next one!

Now I am certain I've been bitten by the track bug!

Glad your off was gentle. You can probably stay out of fifth. It's ok to run it up to redline! BW distance - depends where you live. I live in San Jose, so it's only about 20 minutes further than Thill. Big Willow / Streets of Willow, near LA, is 4 hours, not Buttonwillow.

Ya I didn't wanna race in rain, I had work, new pads/rotors weren't installed yet and the list goes on. lol. I'm planning for the June or July NCRC thunderhill track day.

excuses, excuses..... Pads/rotors we could have done in an hour at the track, work is meant to be taken off, and the rain/dry was the same amount of fun.

next time I guess
