Piece of crap, overweight M6. Don't even know why they put it in that race.

It seems like the 997 was the most difficult to control. The drivers hands were moving around a lot!

I can tell the M6 driver just wasn't trying hard enough.

Several occasions the driver of the 997 did not downshift before, during or after a turn. These things always look like set-ups. Like OJ's situation

Yeah, another rigged race. I think the 997 handles just as good if not better than the NSX. The driver was paid to come in second. Its like that "battle" when the 350z first came out. They raced it against an s2000, M3, and boxster. They threw the GTR in there to "film" the Z when in fact it was blocking the much faster S2000. Why the heck would you need a car just to film when every car as a camera on board? These things are fun to watch, but I take them with a grain of salt

These videos are absolutely riduculous. They'd never let their almighty NSX-R lose...not even 2 years after being out of production. Those Japs sure know how to live in the past.

Nice how the 911 was handicapped with a Tiptronic as well. And the M6, it's a great car. This is just not what it was meant to do, at least not on the level of the other cars there. If they want a real challenge, they should wait around for the M3 CSL...but then again, I'm sure that would lose to the NSX-R as well.

It costs nearly the same as the NSX and Turbo... maybe just a little bit less. There is absolutely no excuse for its sub-par performance. BMW really screwed up big time on that piece of crap.

You're missing the point of an M6. Has BMW ever made a car that could compete with the likes of a 911 Turbo? Ferrari can barely do it (in terms of perfomance and all around useability). The M6 is a $100k car loaded. The Porsche is $126,000 with NOTHING...and believe me, Porsche knows how to offer bare bone cars...it doesn't even come with footwell lighting...you have to pay something like $800 for it. Leather? Gotta pay. By the time you're done, I promise you, you'll be looking at $130k bill for a minimally optioned car.

The M6 is a large, comfortable and practical grand tourer with a 500hp V-10 that can hold its own on backroads and is a beast on the highway. If you drove one and didn't like it, I'd think there was something wrong with you. And if the power isn't enough, Kelleners Sport will tune it up to 550hp. Whatever your opinion, it's far from a total failure.

I will concede that BMW is slowly growing farther and farther away from their motorsport roots...they're mostly just overweight, technological showcases these days.

Honestly, if all of the cars were to just line up, i'm sure the result would be drastically different.

This is one i complete joke, its so rigged its almost embarrassing. The murcielago just easily overtakes the modena, but when it comes to the almighty nsx-r...it suddently just runs out of power....what a bloody joke...oh and here's the better part...when the nsx-r driver had no choice but to admit defeat due to sheer power and speed of the other cars...it just suddently overheats in the last seconds of the race, its like a Spanish soap opera, seriously ....

nsx-r battle...joke

ps. no hard feelings to any Spanish soap opera fans...those people are truly astounding actors.

The NSX-R is listed at doing a ~7:57 lap around Nurburgring. The 997 Turbo is listed at 7:54. I don't think the video was necessarily rigged. The NSX-R only weighs 1270 kg = 2800 lbs.

That is the Tsubuka Track if I got the name right. It is a very small track and have a lot of turns no wonder the NSX won. I dont have anything against the NSX actually I luv the car, but in a diff track with lots of straights and wide open turns it will get raped.
